Really like the Vikings plus 3, as you highlighted. Especially if they pull the Allen deal - welcome to starting in the NFL, Mr. Rodgers...pay no attention to the Williams Wall and that new guy, Mr. Allen rolling around into your face every other pass...

I doubt he'll be stressed out at all in that game to begin with, Monday Night Football, first start, Brett Favre number retirement love-fest...talk about a perfect storm of pressure...

Think I like the looks of the Panthers and Niners getting the points. A couple scary teams to back LAST year, kind of think both will be better this year.

My takes:

1.) It is never, ever too early to talk football and point spreads. Myself, more of a college football guy and I can not wait until books release "big game" lines. Sometime in late June/early July, the books will relaese upwards of 100 lines or so for the bigger games this season. I love that.

2.) All of you make good points. I'll add in the fact that I do not trust the Pittsburgh Steelers laying a TD to anyone right now. As a Steeler fan, I just hope Mario Williams does not swallow Big Ben up!

3.) Wait, Brett Favre retired?!?!?! Who knew!?!?

4.) AR.......any chance you might be posting this upcoming season. I love the technical trends you unearth for us all. I plan on finally being an active football poster, and I have tons of that info as well. But, I always learned something from your posts and added it to my files.

tp...

i plan on posting my plays for this season. last year i had to stop because of business but did post plays for superbowl & the sd/ne game...thanks for asking....

games i would consider.....

giants...wash. is learning a completely new offense & think their offense will take a few games to adjust to it...

houston....think they will continue to improve....

saints...had a slow start last year...look for them to come out of the gate fast & think tb played over their heads last year...

sd....also started slow last year & look for them to start out fast next year....

minn...see chadman's post...

under in the ne game.....kc has a very conservative coach & think he'll try to play keep away...

the Raiders are easy money :00hour

seriously, j/k , but the bronc were shitty in the secondary last year and they return the entire crew this year. really do like the home team catching 3 by game time

AR I would be very leery of the Texans. Dunta Robinson will be out most if not all of the year and they still havent done anything to address running back (nor will they in the draft). The secondary will be absolutely horrible. Schaub is still a huge question mark, and the OLine still isnt anything to write home about.

The schedule is brutal as well.

It will help if Mario Williams keeps up the solid play he had at the end of the season

murph...

are you up for a dinner bet ?

i'll take the giants & give you 4 points....

No thanks. I'm already sweating our other pending dinner bet. How about a McDonalds Snack-wrap or something?

I imagine that line will go up, but I'll take the 4 points.;)
