Where it is real F ing COLD
I read a Vikings fan message board on a major sports thread and many fans have voiced their displeasure in the Vikings trading a number 1 and two number 3 picks for J. Allen. WTF are the Vikes suppose to do? They haven't had a quality defensive end since Chris Doleman and that was 17 years ago. The defensive ends that they do draft end up being busts.
The Vikes have the cap room. They have two great D - tackles. They were going to draft a defensive end anyway. It is well worth two extra 3 rd round picks to get a proven player. A player with pro bowl talent. That is one thing I hate about fellow viking fans.. They bitch about everything. Last year the fans were bitching because we drafted Peterson. They thought it wasn't a need because of Chester Taylor. This trade along with the other moves of adding Berrian, Williams , and Tapeh have made the Vikings a strong NFC North contender. Hopefully Jackson can read a defense and throw the football

absolutely a great trade for minny baring injury, etc. jared allen is a beast. i havewatched him play every year for kc, and there were times that appeared to be the only def played they had.....

he will be great for minny.

i am glad to see him gone from kc. as long as the chefs don't end up w/ howie's kid all is good.

The Chiefs got raped on this deal. They ended up with a guard who has never played tackle, a back up safety , and a tight end who is always hurt. These idiots in KC are all excited we had a good draft. They think Dorsey was part of the Allen deal when Dorsey and Allen with Tamba Hali would have been more devastating then what the Pats seen in the superbowl. 40 million under the cap and they couldn't put an excllusive tag on Allen and work out a long term deal. Just down right discusting. Allen has another 100 sacks in him weather it's next to the Williams or Dorsey. Dudes a high motor guy gifted with the natural ability of all the pass rushing techniques.

I love the pick of John David Booty in the 5th round, he will be the qb by mid-season this year.

As a Vikings fan, I was happy they traded for Jared Allen. DE was one of our biggest needs and no one was going to help at #17. Now we have one of the best DEs in the league. Yes, there's a risk with his DUIs, but if he stays clean this is a great trade. If Tavarius Jackson shows improvement and becomes just an average qb, Vikings could do some damage in the playoffs.

I was out with Jared Allen on Friday Night. We went to a couple parties together. Allen isn't drinking anymore... it's part of his contract with the Viqueens. He's going to build a house on Lake Minnetonka and he's in excellent shape right now. My guess is he's a little light, but he should have a MONSTER year. As he told me, I DOMINATED the NFC North last year.

Minnesota got a real leader and a guy who just turned 26 years old. He couldn't stand Carl Peterson (Chiefs GM) and Allen told me months ago that he wasn't going to finish his career in Kansas City.

I think Minnesota got a good deal and I'll cheer for Allen unless he's playing the Chiefs.
