This question came up the other day with me and two of my male friends, which both happen to be married, I am single. This question is as follows:

1. If I take a girl out on a date, a date meaning I asked her out, I will pay, that's a given, no questions asked. :SIB

2. Girl asks me out for lunch, dinner or drinks, who pays??? Remember she asked me out.:SIB

3. Is the guys always suppose to pay for the girl???

At least give the "reach" for the bill in all cases.

If it's the first time you're out, I'd pay no matter what. If you've seen her a few times, and she has asked you out for the lunch, make the effort, but if she insists, let her have it.

1. Of course

2. I would let her pay for the first drink maybe, & then I would pick up the tab from there...assuming this is a 1st time out together thing....

3. No. It depends on the situation you are in...

Where it is real F ing COLD
I always attempt to pay, but I would allow her to pay if she was very insistent.

Quick story... About 10 years ago I asked this gal to go out on a date and we went to Olive Garden. She ordered a glass of wine. I took the bill at the end of the night and the glass of wine was like 30 some bucks, more than what the meals were. I payed it, but never asked that bitch out again.

My opinion is that for the first few dates the guy should always pay, assuming he is the one asking out. Thereafter, I frequently pick up the tab or at least offer. I've had many guys tell me I'm one of the few that ever do.

If I offered on the first or second date (which I have) and the guy lets me pay, it's kind of a red flag that's he's a tightwad. I mean, if you're not even going to pay for the first couple of dates, when are you going to pay? It's just a sign of not being a very generous person and I don't like it. They always do seem tickled when I offer, though. It's cute.

If the girl NEVER even offers to pay, that's a sign to the guys.

I say split it most of the time. Once in awhile it is a nice suprise to treat someone to a dinner, but it should go both ways (not just one person always doing the treating).
