Guys, tonight I got my 1st virus :nono:
My screen has a WARNING SIGN dead center on my desktop that won't go away. If the computer sits fotr say 5 min. these black beetle looking bugs start coming onto the screen from all sides and they brgin eating the warning sign and the icons !
They go away as soon as I touch the mouse. Obviously, I can still use the computer.
I use Spy Sweeper and it found a Trojan Horse and a couple other problems. I quarantined them but the shit won't go away even after I start the computer back up. What the hell is going on?????

I know people will just say I'm lucky but I'm on my computer all day and surf the net most of it. I don't use any anti virus software and I've never had a virus.

are you able to surf the web?

Yes Doc. A friend said this is a ploy from some company that wants to sell me some protection. I use Norton anti-virus and they have e-mailed me to say i'm close to renewel time. Also removed Spy Sweep because it was making the computer slow. I reinstalled it to try and get rid of this thing. SS caught 1 Trojan Horse and 2 other things that I quarantined. Don't know if it's these guys trying to get me to buy their product again  There's no way to get this removed as far as I can see.

if you wish to chat the odd time on messenger go ahead, but at least your problem is gone, that is one of the better programs out there

Woke up this morning after leaving the comp. on all night only to wake up to the black bugs crawling all over the screen  Ciscos program did get rid of the WARNING box on the desktop. I could tell something is still not right because of the bright blue color of the background on the desktop, it used to be a different shade of blue.
What is the problem?

* By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Hijack This.
* Continue to click Next in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the Select Addition Tasks dialogue.
* Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.
* Continue to follow the rest of the prompts from there.
* At the final dialogue box click Finish and it will launch Hijack This.
* Click on the Do a system scan and save a log file button. It will scan and then ask you to save the log.
* Click Save to save the log file and then the log will open in notepad.
* Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
* Paste the log in your next reply.
