Who you talking about the Songbird? You know how many vets can't stand the songbird McCain?
..............................................................

He is called the songbird because he sang to the Viet Congs long and hard ? I read that somewhere.

I didnt know vets held that against McCain though??

My how opinions change about such things in 4 years. Do you think Kerry had more experience than W on these matters? Yes or no will be fine.

Besides that, getting shot out of the sky 40 years ago does not make him an expert on the military, wars and definitely not on current foreign policy.

Trying to quantify 'qualifications' is pretty diffcult in any political comparison. What I can say is that he's admitted he knows little to nothing about macro economics. He continues, over and over, to mix up shia and sunnis, he sings a cool song about bombing Iran, and his 'pledge' that we will be out of Iraq by 2013 is uninspiring and unacceptable.

As far as 'experience?' He's 90 years old and has lingered in the senate forever, so I suppose by definition, he has more 'experience.' Does that mean that he will be better for this country? No.

Obama? I don't think he's done anything noteworthy that I can tell in the US Senate, but he's not senile, he promises to start redeploying from Iraq and I highly doubt that we will start ANOTHER ignorant war without good reason.

That's the difference.

If you want to keep playing your silly little semantics game, please list McCains 'accomplishments' in his 59 years in the Senate.

Sorry Matt Just logged on and seems Weasie had already stepprd in--I can can give you several more if you would like--

Now since you opted to ask about McCain--I guess its on your shoulders to list Obama's since no one else can come up with any :)

Let me give you some help--here is his official website--MAYBE---you can find something there-
http://www.barackobama.com/2008/03/18/remarks_of_senator_barack_obam_53.php

or here is google search link-maybe you can find something there:shrug:
Obama experience and qualification google search
http://www.google.com/search?q=Obam...ox&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=ie7&rlz=1I7GGLD

On more military experience between Kerry and GW --I am assuming you mean combat experience/active duty and not length of service--the answer would be Kerry --even after dodging 9 months of his term via splinter-bruise-and schrapnel in his ass. :)

Being from a red southern state I will not have a hard time saying President Barack "Hussein" Obama. It would be a great day for the world Eddie but not this country. Love the way you liberals think, looking and talking down to your fellow countrymen while worrying about how the rest of the world views US. How proud you must be.

If you don't think it matters how the rest of the world views America, then you have no understanding of Americas peace & prosperity prospects. If you don't care about the world you don't care about youself, your family or America. When you don't care about the world, you get policies and leadership like the last 8 years. Hows that working for you ? I'll bet a smart guy like you is just fine with it,right ? Do you know what year this is ?

Yes sir I see some stellar support coming from some entities--

No doubt who UBL and AQ want in--they couldn't defeat us in iraq---who is only one that can give them "hope"

Hamas

A few weeks ago, Ahmed Yousef, a top political adviser for terrorist group Hamas, said in an interview on WABC radio in New York that the group supports Obama. ?We like Mr. Obama. We hope he will (win) the election

The co-founder of the Arab group in question, Columbia University professor Rashid Khalidi, also has held a fundraiser for Obama. Khalidi is a harsh critic of Israel, has made statements supportive of Palestinian terror and reportedly has worked on behalf of the Palestine Liberation Organization while it was involved in anti-Western terrorism and was labeled by the State Department as a terror group.

or how about this one--Hatem El-Hady
Obama's website "did" contain a dedicated page to this chief fund raiser and had Michelle Obama listed as friend:scared until it was found El-Hady chariaty was funneling funds to Hamas and had assets frozen by U.S. Treasury.
Then Michelle Obama?s name quietly disappeared from the profile page. And then, the profile page i quietly disappeared also.

Yes sir quite a popular fellow in some circles ;)

---and on the 8 years--are you sure you don't mean last 2 years since your party took power.

You missed giving us examples of improvements you promised that you delivered on- in other thread--looks like you get 2nd chance

I think he's had a tad more experience than Obama on foreign matters-wars-millitary.

--but to end such silly debate- much easier to pose simple question --again to anyone who has an answer
--name just one area Obama has more qualifications or experience in.

I know--silence--again/change subject
:0corn

Can experience be overrated in the case of John McCain ? What did he do in war ? He was shot down, mission vailed, held prisoner. All of that gains points for valor with me but do we want this guy who is suffering from PTSD in the oval office ? Vietnam if over, he is still trying to win it in Iraq. 58,169 that's killed Americans. McCain has said we left Nam to early. 58,169 wasn't enough for the prisoner of war, what will be the magic # in Iraq ? The last war America won, We did what it took. We dropped the bombs. We don't have the will to engage a formidable enemy, so why try and be something we are not. A CONVENTIONAL WAR AGAINST TERROR CAN'T BE WON....IF SOMEONE DOESN'T GRASP THAT CONCET,END THE DESCUSSION,THERE IS NO HOPE.... Obama is a better person, With Obama you get the best man and the smartest man. His qualifications are something you don't and will never understand. McCains experience in foreign matters is a myth. What has he done ? Intelligence is not even close. There is a segment of Amrerica that has this fear of intellectuals in the White House. Why is that ? There is a reason that Obama scores higher with college educated people, they recognize his cognitive abilities. This guy has the ability to pick the right people and make the right choices. Time has passed John McCain by, I think His experience would even disqualify Him to be Sec of State. Yes experience is overrated in the case of Senator Keating 5. Like you say, show me who your friends are. If we take that walk, my friend; McCain fails every time.

DTB

once again you can't see your nose to spite your face. Dont you get it.

you think its a bad thing. You think Obama is going to turn muslim on us and take us back to the stone ages. Thats stupid and pathetic.

Did you ever stop to think that the reason why they would be happy with Obama is that he at least is a man of reason. Someone that will not solve every countrys problems with bombs and worse.

I have some reletives in Germany . I talke to her yesterday. I asked her who do they like in the US Presidential race. She said everyone here is hoping that Obama can win.

Its not just hamas , its the world who wants Obama. They are tired of the Bully America we have come to know and love.

Spending trillions to finance a war that should have been over years ago.

you just dont get it DTB, and I doubt that you ever will.

Just once.... I would love to hear any America President end a great speech with this : God bless you & America & all those who embrace and cherish the hope for, peace and freedom all over the world. We have to change the dynamics of the world in order to sustain our way of life. We have a great life here in America but we are not doing enough to nurture it. Nothing stays the same. We move ahead in the next election or we lose ground. We'll get what we deserve !

If I was a blood thirsty terrorist I would vote for McCain.... That way I would have American targets in Iraq to quench my thirst. What better than Americans riding down the streets with vechiles that are not equipped to survive the blast of my ied's.... Maybe binladen waited for Bush to take office... Clinton may have not given the terrorist American meat to feed on in Iraq. That's someting to think about. The terrorist have Bush right where they want him. They knew he was a nation builder... I think there intelligence is better than this Administrations the last 8 yrs. They have affected our economy and stretched or military . I think they are laughing at Bush righ now. I think the terrorist want 4 > yrs....4>yrs...4>yrs...4> yrs...

I think in this next election the Democrat Party better be looking for terrorist voting for McCain or fixing voting machines....Maybe it wasn't the Rebulicans that stole the election... It may have been the terrorist ..... NOTE : I say the democrat party in honor of joe lieberman.... If joe is not a reason to leave the party and become a patriot, I don't know what is.

Obama is an empty suit that has no chance to win. I repeat 0 chance to win. Anyone who works for a living and pays taxes will not vote for Hussein Obama. Hussein Obama always says he is black, I believe he has abandoned the white race since he is 50% white. This whole Presidential campaign makes me want to puke. I will vote for McCain, just out of pure defense of voting for the lesser of the evils.

It depends on what your definition of evil is I guess. Obama received more votes from White America than he did Black America. I could be wrong but some of the People that voted for him work for a living and pay taxes. I know two. I'm confused by this post. You seem to be overwhelmed by fear and ingnorance.. Not sure which one is the prevailing force though...It's Barack Hussein Obama. BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA .... Kind of catchy !
