Looking to buy a used truck. It currently has a lift kit that I would probably look to taking off when the tires wear down.

Does anyone know on average this would cost?

It's an '02 Silverado extended cab.

It would all depend on what kind of lift kit and how high it was lifted. Is it a body or suspension lift? If its a suspension lift was it lifted using blocks (the wrong way to do it) or were leaf springs added in.

It is 3" steel blocks???

Will this cause serious problems?

I doubt it will be a problem since the lift is only 3inches.

The reason I said having blocks in for the lift was wrong is because if the truck was used for 4 wheeling off road, the blocks can slip out of place. Being an 02 I would say it was lifted for appearences.

Yeah. It's a 2WD, and I think you are spot on. It appears that the blocks were just cosmetic to make it look 4WD...

Decided not to buy it. Too much risk. Very interested because the price "seems" right. Didn't want to get bitten by it, though.

Oh well. Back to looking.

I would never buy a lifted truck or SUV unless it was a leaf spring replacement or coil replacement suspension lift.

Body lifts wouldnt worry me too much as long as they are 3' or less.
