i think its a good low-risk move for Chicago, with the contract for only one year/$600,000.

absolutely.

a great move:
not alot of money tied up
not tied to a rookie for 300 touches
not tied to adrian peterson or garret wolfe as the main backup running back

i think the bears keep all 4 backs on the roster and find a way to use all of them. as the giants proved last year, you need 2 and sometimes 3-4 running backs to make it thru a season.

ideally i see forte getting 60% of the action, jones 30 % of the action, and ap/wolfe getting 10% of the action (although jones could get more if healthy and keep in mind, he's running all year for a paycheck next year, quite the motivation)

keeps everyone fresh, offers 4 different looks, and doesnt put so much pressure on forte (although i think he's gonna be a good one)
