Sounds more like Bush is getting with Obama's plan. Unless something has changed Bush was not for a timetable and Obama was. I:shrug: McCain is clueless he doesn't even know when the Surge started.

So if the surge worked then we can leave?

People had been calling for more boots on the ground for years. McCain simply agreed with the surge. Just like he agreed with the invasion of Iraq and the occupation and the whole party line for 5 years.

Congratulations doctor, the operation was a succuess, but the patient died.

The Iraqi war was never fought to be won. It was fought to be never ending, that way the federal reserve and international bankers can keep loaning money at interest for it.

McCain wants to keep it going for 100 years. We don't have the money. We already owe China and the central banks enough.

.

the patient was already dead for all intents and purposes under saddam...except for the minority sunnis...

we freed them with the "jaws of life" and applied the paddles....

from what i`ve read, iraq was producing 2.4 million barrels of oil a day(as of february) and by the end of the year will surpass the saddam regime`s pre war 2.6 million .....and will go much higher...

That's what I call progress! Getting back to Saddam levels of oil production.

Maybe one year, we'll get their electricity and clean water back to what it was!

Some comments here are alittle off. But right now today McCain finds him self as last guy standing wanting to stay in Iraq. John needs to move forward. Join the 67% of americans that agree we should leave vover next 18 months. Our Job is done time for iraq to stand up for Iraq. For sure when Iraq with there oil income not repaying us a dime.

This is Bush's legacy

There are more than a million Iraqi refugees in Syria, many are women whose husbands or fathers have been killed. Banned from working legally, they have few options outside the sex trade. No one knows how many end up as prostitutes, but Hana Ibrahim, founder of the Iraqi women's group Women's Will, puts the figure at 50,000.

Ain't freedom great?
