Cue FDC in . . . five . . . four . . . three . . .two . . .
I just saw this and let me tell you what. That is damn funny as I was ready to fire off like no tomorrow:00hour .
While it is true that airlines are looking for altrnative ways to increase revenue they are certainly looking harder at ways to decrease costs. Ultimately, all but a few of good paying union jobs that the airlines had no problem with before will all be gone. While this may not concern anyone here it most certainly should. If you haven't lost your job yet just keep buying foreign. That will help.
Unions brought you the forty hour work week and all the while are accused of laziness, and price gouging while I can assure you that few of you have to put in as many hours as I do trying to save jobs for this industry and save money for the consumers of the product our union members so proudly and meticulously maintain. I will not go any further in this as it is useless and usually felled upon deaf ears so I digress.
Good one BBC!!!!
By the way in answer to the original question. All airlines have changed their pricing index and will continue to do so as long as those purchasing oil futures at an astronomical rate while driving the price of oil up for no apparent reason(please see Dick Cheney). As many of you are business owners I believe it is every business' right to make some type of profit without having to consistently lay off employees, offer variable bridging into early retirement, listen to incessant bitching by those that are still flying and so forth.
Hope this helps,
