Fielder goes after Parra in dugout

Cincinnati - The cameras just caught an altercation in the Brewers' dugout between Prince Fielder and Manny Parra in which Fielder shoved Parra down onto the bench twice before teammates and coaches pulled Fielder away.

The cameras showed Fielder and Parra talking in the visiting dugout at Great American Ball Park near the bat rack near the left end of the dugout. Fielder said something to Parra and gestured in the air with his right hand.

Parra, who had just been removed from the game, then swiped up his hat and jacket off the bench as he and Fielder continued to walk side-by-side toward the other end of the dugout.

Fielder then turned to the unsuspecting Parra and pushed him down hard on the bench. Fielder then came at Parra again, pushing him hard in the face with both hands. Parra seemed stunned and did not try to defend himself.

Teammates Ray Durham, Ryan Braun and Dave Bush then grabbed Fielder, with pitching coach Mike Maddux joining ing, and pushed him down to the other side of the dugout. At the end of the altercation, J.J. Hardy could be seen yelling at Fielder.

Not a good situation. This is the second consecutive year the Brewers have had an altercation in the dugout. Last year, manager Ned Yost and former players Johnny Estrada and Tony Graffanino went after each other in the dugout tunnel at Miller Park and had to be separated.

He is an idiot cuz he wanted his starting to pitcher to stay in the dugout and support the team?? Get a clue. The thing you should be saying is at least someone on that team is showing enough heart and pride to get on him for wanting to leave the dugout .

if fielder had heart and pride, rather than gut, he'd take fielding practice until caught two in a row.

particularly funny was the espn commentator said, on top of video(!), that the two "exchanged blows." he must have been thinking about him and his boyfriend after the show cuz all i and everyone else saw was fatty attack Parra.

On the course!
WISN out of Milwaukee reported that Fielder said he acted in "self-defense". Fielder claims that Parra used "Mexican Judo" on him in the dugout during last night's game. When asked to explain, Fielder stated, "Manny walked past me and said, 'judo never score me no rungs maing!"
