I draft 2nd this year and will be taking A.P.
I follow 3seconds line of thinking and will likely gobble up the best remaining RB on the board by the time it gets back to me, such as McGahee or MJD...otherwise i will go WR/WR in Rd 2 & 3 since this is a PPR league.
Here's my QB combos for later in the draft...probably looking to target these guys in 7th-10th rounds.
Garrard & Schaub
Bulger & Schaub
Garrard & Young
Garrard & Rodgers
Schaub & Young
Bulger & Garrard
I'd take any of those combos and will compete with the stud QB's.
Unless Gates or Winslow is there late at a reasonable round, which I guess they won't be.... I'll do the same thing with my TE position. I really like Owen Daniels, Shockey and Scheffler this year outside of the top 3, but assuming that they are already gone by the time I pick up my first TE, I'll look to target these TE combos...probably around the 11th and 12th rounds.
Zach Miller & L.J. Smith
Zach Miller & Ben Watson
Zach Miller & Alge Crumpler
Zach Miller & Greg Olsen
Zach Miller & Marcedes Lewis
Zach Miller & Kevin Boss
Zach Miller & Donald Lee
L.J. Smith & Crumpler
L.J. Smith & Watson
Since we have 3 WR's in our starting line-up, I thought about trying the same kind of thing with my 3rd WR.... The list is too long, but I will say this.... After throwing out the first 37 some odd WR's, I will be definitely targeting Reggie Brown in round 7.
By the time I get to Round 6, I hope to have A.P. another good RB, 2 good WR's and either a stud TE (preferrably Winslow, Whitten or Gates) or a stud QB (preferrably Brees, since i expect the top 3 to be gone early) or a solid 3rd WR in which case I will be doing QB by committee and TE by committee....
You're welcome. :SIB
