flying into LAX in october. gonna stay in cali for 10 days. not sure where we're going or staying yet. wife wants to check out disneyland, maybe go to san diego. anybody from there know anything about Mission Bay Beach or Pacific Beach. was told to check those areas out. might try to rent a condo somewhere. any helpful replies are appreciated... you too smurph... :0corn

mission beach is nice,they have this a rollercoaster and games for kids and all........pacific beach is more like a night time deal,alot of bars,clubs and a happening spot..........if u go to san diego u gotta check out coronado,its a little island off san diego connected by this big blue bridge,i lived there for 7 years (it's beautiful) go to the hotel del there on the beach and the ferry landing .........if u like seafood, i'd recommend the fish market restaurant on harbor dr. very nice food + not too expensive and after u eat u can go for a walk on the seaport village (alot of nice little stores and all) I got nothing good to say about los angeles so i won't :nono:

Hmm. Sounds like LMM knows more about SD. If you spend time in OC, I recommend Laguna Beach - very "quaint" beach city. Most of LA is overrated. If you make your way up the coast to Santa Barbara, then I might be more useful.
Yeah that's why I can't watch that crap that you and Kosar love so much. I grew up around those bitches. Rich OC girls are pretty much the worst creatures on the planet.
That said, Laguna is a very nice place to spend some time. ...and a painfully high amount of your money.

LMM, thanks for the reply. after looking around we are considering laguna beach. (thanks smurphy) found a site, homeaway.com that has a few listed. hoping to find one for around 2 grand for the week... we'll see...
Laguna is very nice spent a lot of time there during training in Marines and the drive down Canyon(?) road is cool as hell as you go through soem beautiful areas. Cool little shops. I actually got my first tattoo sitting on the beach there from some Japanese lady and some type of manual tattoo instrument. It was tough sitting with that slope at my back all day.....................but the beach eventually evens out and the dunes aren't all that bad or slanted I guess I should say. Be careful though as it can get a bit nippy in the mornings sometime

I travel for business in the area and typically stay in Del Mar, there is a decent Hilton (http://www1.hilton.com/en_US/hi/hotel/SANDMHF-Hilton-San-Diego-Del-Mar-California/index.do). It is a little hump from LA but Del Mar racetrack is right across the street (if you are into the ponies). It's close to Solana Beach and Torrey Pines.
