You have to stop with this crap.

You act like it's you or me or whoever saying this shit. This guy was tortured by them for five years.

How f*cking 'enlightened' would *you* be after that?

I dont know Kosar, I do understand his past and the things he went through....but your reasoning for this would be like saying its ok for an afro-american to call caucassions a racist name or someone of jewish decent to speak of germans in a demoralizing langue, and so on and so forth, also were they tortured, but at SOME POINT you must get over what has happened and control what will happen. If he were to become president and a situation occurred would he be more likely to invade or bomb them due to his hatred rather then go in for a possible peaceful resolution? Just a thought as I dont KNOW if he is racist but he is ARROGANT at the least.

I understand what you're saying.

But towards the Vietnamese, I understand his thoughts. From *his* point of view.

Politically speaking, it was incredibly ignorant for him to express these thoughts publically.

I would imagine that he's defintiely racist towards the Vietnamese, but maybe not in general. I don't know.

I think the most important thing here is that he can't control himself. His temper is well documented, and that is not a trait that becomes a President.

"the bunker"
on a more important topic, mccain just shocked me to my core and chose sarah'the barracuda' palin as his v.p. choice...

i honestly know very little about her....

i know she`s gov. of alaska...was 2nd in the ms. alaska pageant...and was the point guard on the state championship basketball team....was involved in local alskan politics before becoming governor...

has 5 kids.....one going to iraq in september...one with down`s syndrome....

we have a sort of "lack of experience" trade off on both tickets,to go with savvy washington insiders in mccain and biden.......

one way or another, barriers are gonna get broken in this election....first black pres or first woman v.p....

a real gamble by mccain.....

boy,is this gonna get interesting...

This thread was about his 'racism.' That's what I responded to.

If you want, start one about him calling his wife a cunt.

No you brought torture into it. It's ok i was tortured too, by somebody.

Right or wrong, the mainstream press has given McCain a pass on this one because of his history. In 2005, George Allen Jr. was the frontrunner for the GOP nomination and his political career came to an abrupt end for using the word "macaca". Allen wasn't given a pass by the press or by his constituents.
