Will update record after Tennessee game - it's not good
I'm pretty high on the Fighting Irish this season and was planning on betting them blind over the first three weeks of the season because I think they're extremely underrated right now.

But San Diego State sound alot tougher than they are.
-4 starters back from an offense that an offense that averaged 25 pts a game (less than 18 against BCS) and lost 3 starters to the draft. In the spring game, in 9 drives the offense scored a td and a fg, which is only disturbing because. . .
-A defense that gave up 5.3 yds/carry, almost 500yards a game in 2007, and 34.4 pt/game
-A coach (Chuck Long) who's managed a 7-17 record over two years with no signs of improving and a school board who's thinking of ending the entire program because it's losing too much money.
and, oh yeah, they just got smacked at Qualcomm by Cal Poly SLO (woo hoo!! Smurph)

Notre Dame -20.5 2 units
Wildcats impressed me last week and they were clearly the more conditioned team at the end of the game and just ran the ball down the Orangemen's throats at the end of the game. The major question of Northwestern's Oline was answered for me last week.
Northwestern -6
