Safe and sound and ready to get back home.
My dad stayed in Seabrook which is right next to Kemah.
He said roads are still not flooded outside his condo so there is hope as he is lower elevation than me and he is on the water.
Weather channel is not showing the devastating surge as described.
If Nassau Bay is not really flooding then neither is Kemah.
Eye passing now so Kemah water will go back out towards Galveston.
I hope if expects are right.

They reported a few hours ago 1.2 million without power in Houston and they didn't expect it to be repaired for 18 days!! I then heard no power for a week to 3 weeks. Either way, that's a long time with no lights! 
Lost Power @ 4AM - connecting via Treo and laptop battery. House still in tact but fence is down and not out of the woods yet. Last I heard the eye is east of Conroe. I live in NW Harris County. Still reporting strong winds in Galvestion, Storm has up from 12MPH to 15MPH and heading NNE. Shutting down to save juice, my sister in law in Jersey Village has been w/o power since 8pm. Stay tuned it's been a LONG night!

He had 2 windows blow out and is taking rain water. No storm surge in that area. He got hit on the backside as the eye had passed before damage came.
I hate to say it,but my house is more than likely screwed. I know my business is screwed. They had just torn down an apartment complex across the street and all the rubble/debris pile was still there(over 25 ft high of trash). I know that pile is gone and probably in my store.

It is here right now in Tyler,lights are flickering but I still have power,wind is blowing pretty bad,I just hope I don't have a tree fall on the house
Just got word from my mayor that my subdivision to minimal to no flood damage. I am in the back part by the easement which was a savior so I should be ok.
He said wind damage was another story though.
Cross my fingers, heading back in the morning as free hotel, football, and a/c are hard to leave for no power and destruction.
I do have a generator which will help.

I lost power at about 10p last night and got it back at about 3:30p. I was expecting several days if not longer.
Tremendous tree damage in this area.
They are showing Kemah on Ch 2 right now. The boardwalk is completely underwater and the buildings torn to shit.
