You missed the top big cities - surprising given the effects of the misery index

Bowling Green's a nice town, nice people, as much diversity in chain restaurants as Indianapolis and Minneapolis and . . . Uncle Sam's Titty City.

I've been to 7 of these places and Bowling Green ranks just below Hot Springs.

I'd rather kill myself than live in any of those places except for Bloomington, Marietta or Hot Springs.

Bowling Green does bring back good memories, though. I used to have quite the fun time with a college lass up there when I was stationed in Clarksville, TN. Hot little slut with no sense of family values. Just as I like 'em.

I know - to overcome all the misery and still manage to top these stellar lists is quite an accomplishment for the windy city. I think it really speaks to the quality of residents. ....and pizza.

Lynchburg is awful. This list seems really random.

Bloomington over Iowa City? Care to share why?

Not really. This can turn into a slippery slope where everybody starts having to answer for whatever cities they like or dislike.

I've been to Iowa City twice and I didn't like it much. I'm sure it's a great place.

I've spent a ton of time in Bloomington and I liked it enough.

It's nothing personal against IC, my man.

Didn't read it that way at all, Kosar.
I can say the same thing about Bloomington--been there a couple of times for football games, didn't see much of the town other than the rinky-dink football stadium and the lame game day experience compared to other Big-10 towns....
Really hard to judge a town if you haven't lived there, though.
Having lived in Iowa City for 15 years as both a student and a "townie", I'd find it hard to believe there are too many other 'college towns' as cool as Iowa City.
The older I get the more I'm glad I don't live there anymore, though....:D

I agree Smurhy

Thought very strange list myself--and if you look at their description of town--makes less sense yet.

just not many list I have seen Bowling green on so thought I'd put it up.
Found link while doing search on Junior ryder cup here today and tomorrow.

Maybe the list is based on availability of tee times or something.
