I got some better news Edward --Gov Blunt of Mo bitch slapping obama and your constitutional interpretors on Acorn style tactics--

Gov. Blunt Statement on Obama Campaign?s Abusive Use of Missouri Law Enforcement

JEFFERSON CITY - Gov. Matt Blunt today issued the following statement on news reports that have exposed plans by U.S. Senator Barack Obama to use Missouri law enforcement to threaten and intimidate his critics.

?St. Louis County Circuit Attorney Bob McCulloch, St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce, Jefferson County Sheriff Glenn Boyer, and Obama and the leader of his Missouri campaign Senator Claire McCaskill have attached the stench of police state tactics to the Obama-Biden campaign.

?What Senator Obama and his helpers are doing is scandalous beyond words, the party that claims to be the party of Thomas Jefferson is abusing the justice system and offices of public trust to silence political criticism with threats of prosecution and criminal punishment.

?This abuse of the law for intimidation insults the most sacred principles and ideals of Jefferson. I can think of nothing more offensive to Jefferson?s thinking than using the power of the state to deprive Americans of their civil rights. The only conceivable purpose of Messrs. McCulloch, Obama and the others is to frighten people away from expressing themselves, to chill free and open debate, to suppress support and donations to conservative organizations targeted by this anti-civil rights, to strangle criticism of Mr. Obama, to suppress ads about his support of higher taxes, and to choke out criticism on television, radio, the Internet, blogs, e-mail and daily conversation about the election.

?Barack Obama needs to grow up. Leftist blogs and others in the press constantly say false things about me and my family. Usually, we ignore false and scurrilous accusations because the purveyors have no credibility. When necessary, we refute them. Enlisting Missouri law enforcement to intimidate people and kill free debate is reminiscent of the Sedition Acts - not a free society

More good news--

Meanwhile, a Marine veteran is suing Murtha for slander. In May of 2006 ? six months after 24 Iraqis were killed in the Iraqi town of Haditha ? Murtha said in an interview that American soldiers killed innocent women and children in "cold blood."

Former Lance Corporal Justin Sharratt was initially charged with premeditated murder. He claims Murtha's comments damaged his reputation and violated his constitutional rights to due process and presumption of innocence. He says he has received hate mail and been called a "baby killer" in public.

Sharratt has since been exonerated after a full investigation and honorably discharged. The other Marines and officers involved in the incident have either been acquitted or had their charges dropped except one whose case is pending.

I think it would sound much better if she was saying what DTB's typing.

It's really been Fox's MO from the start. Let the hot girl speak and the minions would follow.

--and which candidate is the all hat no cattle--king of rhetoric Bobby.

Which one did he sell you on the hope or change?

The biggest diff I see between the 2 is one is running for VP the other pres.

The crux of the matter is---very few people vote for the vp.

If Palin/Biden debate is 30 minutes whould imagine the fact check article that follows-between the 2 of them will be 20 paragraphs minimum--can we agree on that. :)

The hope and the change.

Lot of points came back from my little post. Maybe stating that Fox has minions hit a little close to home and for that I apologize, but they have turned you into a Socialist over the past week.

Sincerely,

King of Rhetoric

Fair enough Bobby

Are you basing this hope and change on his rhetoric--or are you basing it on his previous deeds?
If the latter--please share with us what they are.

I would be happy to put up his voting record in Illinois again if it will help. ;)

On the rhetoric . . .

And I'd be happy to go through his voting record in Illinois, but I've done it once and you still believe that he wanted to teach 6-year olds about sex. So, if something as obvious as that can't get you to change your opinion, I don't really want to spend the time and the effort on changing your opinion on the others.

Plus, I'm supporting Obama, but since the people of Illinois who know Obama best are voting for him at a 60-65% clip, I'll be voting third party. We need more options as McCain and Obama now have basically the same views publicly and both lean more left than they're showing. The real difference between the candidates is whether you want to finish Afghanistan or go into Iran and tax rates for those making over 250k that get most of their income through passive means, IMO. Other than that, I don't think we'll be affected differently.

I am against anyone--

- with staunch stance on affirmative action/quota's
"no hope" for those that bust there ass when competeing against quota's

--who avoids issues with present vote--if you don't have nads to give opion there is "no hope" you as leader.

--who raises taxes over 300 times in illionois senate on ind and businesses

--who voted against letting people argue self-defense in court if charged with violating local weapons bans by using a gun in their home

---Unsuccessfully sponsored measure to expunge some criminal records and create an employment grant program for ex-criminals.

--Voted against making gang members eligible for the death penalty if they kill someone to help their gang

--who voted ?present? on a measure to keep pornographic books and video stores 1,000 feet away from schools and churches, and in 1999, he voted against a requirement to make schools filter internet pornography from school computers

--who voted for reduced sentences for crack offenders

Who (was only sentator) to to oppose a bill that prohibited early prison release for sex offenders

know it seems it has to be fabricated on him the only senator from Ill to vote no against keeping sex offenders from getting early release--however it was SB 485 (1999) here I'll make things easy on you from here on out and include the bill#

voted NO SB 381 (1997)
To require prisoners to pay court costs for frivolous lawsuits
against the state.

voted PRESENT SB 609 (2001)
To restrict the location of buildings with ?adult? uses
(meaning pornographic video stores, strip clubs, etc.) within
1,000 feet of any public or private elementary or secondary school, public park, place or worship, preschool, daycare
facility, mobile park or residential area

voted NO H1812 (1999)B
To require school boards to install software on public computers
accessible to minors to block sexually explicit material

YES SB 880 (2003)
To allow the purchase of 10 hypodermic needles from a
pharmacy without a prescription

voted yes SB 1733 (2003)
To impose a Gas Use Tax on the purchase of natural gas
from outside the state of Illinois for use or consumption in
Illinois. Forces the delivering supplier to pay 2.4 cents per
therm of gas, or the customer can elect to become a ?selfassessing?
purchaser and pay 5% of the purchase price or
2.4 cents per therm.

voted PRESENT HB 2000 (4659)
To establish a zero-tolerance drug-testing policy for
Department of Corrections Employees

numerous others inside of thread.

first off, you`ll be voting 3rd party?....and who exactly is it that you`ll be voting for?

the same views?......mccain`s no conservative,but he`s not a socialist either......they`re miles apart...

where has mccain advocated redistribution of wealth?....are their healthcare bills similar?....has mccain advocated downsizing of the military,as obama has?....

where has mccain indicated he`d abandon afghanistan?...where has he indicated he was going "into" iran?....

you making stuff up?....

i`m no mccain fan....but,i`d crawl over broken glass to vote for him in this election....and believe me,voting for mccain for me,is like crawling over broken glass...

why did you guys abandon the clintons?.....experience...according to you,8 great years of prosperity and good times....

it`s all about race for dems...they had the perfect candidate...and kicked her to the curb to "right previous wrongs"...`scuse me,but i don`t want anyone with this moronic, juvenile political philosophy making life and death decisions on this country`s security...

obama is the most extreme liberal candidate in this country`s history...right up there with carter....

he`s never reached across the aisle...and never will...
