ANGELS AT -130 seems like a dam steal to me. Boston is all banged up. Beckett is injured & isn't pitching in California. Drew and Lowell probably can't play, if do very limited. Sox will find out what post season without Ramirez is like. Pedrroia is a beast for a little guy, but I can't see Boston winning this series. They have dominated angels for several postseasons, I think angels finally get it done, its their year.

Boston is banged up no doubt.Actually pushing Beckett back til Sunday works in there favor IMO,as DK seems to pitch with less anxiety on the road and his numbers prove it.

The Sox only chance is pitching,as there line up is banged up.There in a tough spot here no question.Lets see what happens.... OH wait ,I cant the friggen game dont start til 10;07 EST.

Thats pathetic:mad:

Shamrock,it was a non-save situation,in a meaningless game. Why Francona used him anyway  ,if anything rest him before the series, hes worked enough thus far.

rusty, I've been a r Sox fan many decades. Do you really want to compare Anaheim bullpen against Boston? Put your pom poms down, I hope Boston wins, but I think the line is little off. Jd Drew hasn't played in like 5 weeks. Lowell is in agony, and probably can't produce. Beckett is seriously injured, Ramirez is gone. And Paps has been struggling with velocity & command of second & third pitches for weeks. Did you see him after outing Sunday? He wasn't treating it as a meaningless game, he was treating it as a tuneup for playoffs, and he knew he sucked.

I didnt say there were gonna win series .But your puttn them 6ft under before its even started.Ive been a fan along time too.

I agree. They look tired from playing alot of baseball the last 2years.Lets not pull the panic button on Drew the wimp.hes been MIA for quite sometime now.And ill reservse judgement on Beckett,as ive herd the injury is minor.

As far as Lowell,a hurt lowell is better then no lowell,i still think he can produce.
Lets not forget experience or the fact that the Angels so called superiority is infladed by playing in a weak division.

They may well lose series, but I wouldnt bet against .

2004 NYY lost to Boston in ALCS ,they finished withh 100 wins. Also Angels record padded with weak division IMO.

add that seattle team that won 120 or whatever they won and got bounced first round.

the west was pretty weak, but man did the angels stick it to the red sox this year. i know different time of season in the playoffs and regular season is meaningless, but they forked em during the season.

should be a fun series, i think the halos come out on top, but we'll see. i really give edge to halos bullpen, edge to halos in starters, edge to bo sox in bats even banged up, and push at manager. give me the home cooking.

The Angels will once again have their season ended by Boston this year. The BP might not be as good as years past but the ERA is 11th best in the league and BAA is ninth best in the league. Plus the team BA is the best out of any team currently in the playoffs. The line is not surprising to me, until the Angels do something in October they don't deserve to be huge favorites IMO.
