The restrictor plate races are far more of a crapshoot than any other for driver and handicapper alike. Matchups are definitely a far riskier venture here than your average race, because of the huge variance in results.

This is just another way of saying that plate races often will give you huge swings in your bankroll if you like to bet matchups!
