Poor always vote Democrat - why?

The following stats come from an article by Glen Beck of CNN.
What do the top ten cities with the highest poverty rate all have in common?

Democrat "leadership".

1) Detroit,MI (1st on the poverty rate list) hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1961;
2) Buffalo,NY (2nd) hasn't elected one since 1954;
3) Cincinnati, OH (3rd)................since 1984;
4) Cleveland, OH (4th).................since 1989;
5) Miami, FL (5th) has never had a Republican Mayor;
6) St. Louis, MO (6th).................since 1949;
7) El Paso,TX(7th) has never had a Republican Mayor;
8) Milwaukee, WI (8th)... .............since 1908;
9) Philadelphia, PA (9th)..............since 1952;
10) Newark, NJ (10th)...................since 1907.

Einstein once said "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results" It is the disadvantaged who habitually elect Democrats - yet are still disadvantaged... hmmm... Wonder if there is any relation.

People who live in dense urban areas, almost always vote for the more liberal candidate. The whole world over. Not just this country.

I am NOT saying one party is better at leading cities. There is plenty of evidence of both parties being horrible horrible corrupt leaders.

BUT, liberals just tend to be more cosmopolitan, artistic, and friendly to the underclass.

Now it can be argued that some social programs simply perpetuate poverty, but if you were black, and lived in the 20th century, could you really be blamed for supporting Democrats? If you were gay? If you were Latin? If you were living in poverty?

I would say "poor" would be bad choice of words.
There are many of modest means that refuse to take gov subsidies out of pride--They simply do without things other than necessities until their income/savings warrent it.

You will find majority of these will be successful at some point in time--its called starting from bottom and working way up.

Then you have those that gov benefits are a way of life for generations--have no ambition and will take what gov and tax payors provide for them and blame their plight on someone else.

Can't think of anything more satisfying than those that go from rags to riches by cashing in on opportunity and attitude.
