The Lions have traded WR Roy Williams to the Cowboys for a first, third and sixth round pick. The Cowboys also receive a seventh-round pick from the Lions in 2009.

They gave up a bit much, but at least they signed him to a long term deal through 2013.

This will give Dallas a top 2 WR corp in the NFL only matched by Zona w/ Fitz & Boldin.

When you include the TE position Dallas is the clear #1 pass catching group in the NFL.

The only problem is that there is only one ball on the field per play and it needs to NOT be dropped. I'm pretty confident in saying I've seen Williams drop more passes than he catches. Of course, T O has never dropped a pass.

OK, Lets not forget the fact that through lastyears draft they acquired the Dolphins 6 rd pick and Clevelands 3rd round pick, as they STILL own THEM, they gave up there own picks which will be later in the draft.....so they really only miss drafting in the first round, its not as if they need younger guys, the team overall is pretty young and does anyone seriously think ANY player they could of drafted this year will produce as much as Roy Williams will EVEN NEXT YEAR? I doubt any guy in college THAT THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO GET WHERE THEY ARE GONNA END UP DRAFTING will be as good as Roy. I think it was smart as Jerry Jones recognizes the defense wont stop a whole lot of teams and now you must out score the other teams to win and this will help them with that mindset, I missed any lockdown corner that was being traded out there, and they do have YOUNG corners but not enough time served yet to really help make a difference. In the next few weeks until Romo comes back look for HEAVY doses of Barber and Brad to NOT LOSE THE GAMES. Personally I LOVE THE MOVE NOT ONLY FOR THIS YEAR BUT OVER THE NEXT 3-4 YEARS ESPECIALLY

With the proven track record of draft picks the Lions will be a serious threat. Strong foundation with Kitna, Calvin Johnson, and Rudi Johnson all they need now is a TE, another WR, five offensive lineman, 4 defensive lineman, 2 linebacker, 2 cb, the two safety, new coaches. This team will win the Super Bowl within three years and look at the trade as a turning point.
