:director: should be electronically controlled..too many umps with too many zones and no consistency..its a necessary change that has to be made..no umpire alive can call balls and strikes with the accuracy of lasers..

you can't have balls and strikes electronically controlled. you might as well play the game as a video game. i don't like instant replay and any of that garbage. what ever happened to human error.

you can have balls and strikes that are not swung at laser controlled and why have human error if you can a true call? its not like the rest of the game would be affected, as the umps would still be needed for the rest of the calls..the umps are not suppose to be a part of the game that determines the outcome, the game IS the players or it is suppose to be..umpiring and refereeing should not be done by 60/70 year old geezers who physically can't handle the games..eyes and reflexes get worse as we all get older..:director:
