Above the Clouds....
A lot is said every week about west coast teams traveling east and not doing too well.

Was wondering if the east coast teams have the same problem. Never see anything written about this?

I would venture to guess it's not the same because going from east to west you actually GAIN 3 hours. So playing a 1 PM game in say, Seattle or Oakland, would be like playing at 4 PM to someone from the east coast. The opposite is true of west coast teams, which is why I think they struggle so much. A 1 PM game is like playing at 10 AM.

You nailed it. Easier time adjustment. Also doens't hurt that both of the West divisions are pretty poor overall.

Yep. When the west coast teams travel travel east and have to play in the early game, it is an especially tough adjustment. Hell, it's been years since I was an athlete, and I remember going to NYC last spring and being wide awake and bored in my hotel around 3 a.m. because it was only midnight for my normal schedule.

West going East???

West going East???

Balt -7 vs Oak seems to be the play here.

The real question is the London game. Both teams heading East for a noon game. That would be like an 3am game for SD & a 6am game for NO ... give or take an hour.

Brees says, "He's amped about playing in London", and Turner was worried about the time change going to Buffalo last week. Add 5 more hours difference and it looks like NO +3 is the play.

I'm pretty sure the London game starts at 5pm in London, which is 1pm Eastern Standard Time like the others on the slate.
