If you were an opposing manager, is there anyone else in the league that you would rather see at the plate with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 out?

Adam Dunn comes directly to mind but imo the list is very short from there

seriously tbb, I was able to start this thread as soon as Utley took 3rd - knew there was basically no chance of Howard getting that run in

not like the Phils needed that one or anything...............

Yeah he even got 1 mistake and fouled it off. I would bench him against lefties and why don't they have a good defensive first baseman so he can DH on the road??

To give me a chance to win on the sweep by TB? Or to piss off Philly backers? I dont know, but Im glad he is in the lineup. He has HURT the team all post season....

What were they supposed to do ? Aquire a Good defensive 1B at the trade deadline, in hopes they make it to the World Series ?

Are you trying to be ironic?
They posted his numbers with RISP with less than 2 outs--one of the best in the league.
Available online.
Check 'em out.
He looked like chit today, but gimme a break.

referring specifically to his ability to get a run home from 3rd with less than 2 out

will take your word for his ba/rbis with RISP / less than 2 out, but not nec the same thing

just doesn't have the ability to change his thought process in that situation - still trying to pull everything instead of just getting the ball in play

Well he might of had good #'s with RISP in the regular season, but he can't hit a beach ball in the post season:142smilie

I have been watching him since he played for the Lakewood Blueclaws, he would not sign for kids even when he was in low A ball and I decided not to root for him ever again.
I am glad he sucks.
