Looking for Opinions on SC-Zona

Last week many folks quickly pointed out that SC would most likely cover against the Jr High Cougs of the Paloose.

Well this week the game is a little more challenging. Zona comes in 5-2 and are hosting the Trojans.

Line opens up at 14 at SBG, goes to 16 yesterday, and now down to 15.

Really perplexed by this one. We know on paper what to do, but SC occasionally struggles in Zona.

Couple in the midget back that Zona has and one has to wonder if SC learned from the Beaver beatdown or if the same will happen.

Thoughts from the experts, por favor.

Tough game I agree....not playing it myself. The whooping SC did on Wazzou has this line a little inflated. Zona +pts or nothing IMO...think they give the Trojans just a tad bit tougher game than the Cougars did last week and cover this big number at home. SC wins SU though. GL!

So. Cal
from an alum but non homer

stoops teams have always played sc tougher than "expected" and gotten closer and closer every year....in fact arizona could have won the game in the coliseum last year.

this is stoops best team in 5 years and could give sc defense a few problems....i'd be even more confident if sc were undefeated as they may overlook arizona but with a loss in the bag they wont be overlooking anybody.

the key is can arizona run the ball and will they stay comitted to the run? i say yes.....arizona has two backs similar to rodgers from osu (grigsby and antonli) in size and speed. The run game will help the pass game as tuitiam is better when there is balance, without balance he's a sitting duck if the routes arent open immediately.

arizona likley wont stop sc much if sc really runs the ball (like stanford does/did vs arizona) so the key is for arizona to keep up on the scoreboard with touchdowns.

sold out, homecoming, crazy atmosphere, lute olson retirement party (okay i made that one up), late game leads me to believe it's gonna be a close game in the 4th quarter (like last year)

arizona +16
arizona ml

So Cal
USC Def. is playing on another level.
During the month of Oct.
they have allowed opps. a grand total of 10PTS
and are off back to back shutouts.
P.Carrol's Def. is playing lights out.!!!

I got USC - 14. IMO SC wins big . 3+td's

tend to agree w/Tulah on this one...

Usc knows it cannot afford to slip up...

it will be a difficult environment, nite gm, hostile stadium crowd...

:director: but I like Usc in this one.... 31-13

USC beat Wash St big deal and Oregon at home. Ariz is much better than Oregon St and way more explosive. No way USC covers. USC got lucky last year and almost lost. AZ has a great chance to win this game outright but being a homer of course you will bet on USC. Vegas loves homers who think there team is so superior and bets them.

Nothing in my post suggest a homer bet.

Everything I said is true fact. Look at the stats.

I cap every SC game because I watch them.

I'm a USC fan obviously but I won't lay a bet down blindly without capping a game.
