CB Kevin Akins? 13-yard return of a
fumble for a TD against North Carolina,
marked the second straight week the
Eagles has scored on a non-offensive
play...On Oct. 18 against Virginia Tech,
WR Rich Gunnell returned a punt

State and moved into the lead for rushing
in the ACC...Scott is now averaging 102.6
yards per game and is ranked 24th nationally...Despite playing
in a driving rainstorm, P Travis Baltz averaged 49.5 on
his two punts, downing one inside the NC State 20...He has
put 12 punts inside the opponent?s 20-yard line...Baltz leads
the ACC in punting (42.2 avg.)...TE Dan Gronkowski, who
is on the pre-season watch list for the John Mackey Award,
was also named a semifi nalist for the National Football
Foundation?s Draddy Award, which is given to the nation?s
top football scholar-athlete...Gronkowski, who had a TD

Sophomore WR Owen Spencer currently

T.J. Graham has returned 31 kickoffs
a total of 809 yards, an average of 27.3
yards per return...After just seven games, Graham has set
an NC State school record for season kickoff return yardage
and now his eight-game total is the 9th-best mark in ACC
history...His 100-yard TD return against BC on Oct. 5 is the
longest in the ACC this year...Graham ranks 2nd this week in
the ACC in all-purpose yards, averaging 133.6 yards a game
and is 14th nationally in kickoff returns...Since missing the
South Florida game with an injury, redshirt freshman QB
Russell Wilson has completed 50 of 76 passes for 584 yards
and 5 TDs in his last three games...A pass effi ciency rating

percentage, currently the best in the ACC...CB Alphonso
Smith made his 17th career pass interception against Clemson

Deacons...Smith is now tied with 5 others, including former
Wake standout A.J. Greene, for 3rd place on the ACC?s career
interception list...Smith, on the watch lists for the Bednarik,

Redshirt freshman QB Robert Marve led
Miami to a 16-10 win over Wake Forest
with 209 yards of total offense, one week
after true QB Jacory Harris came off
the bench to throw 4 TD passes, and run
for a 5th TD, in leading Miami to a 49-31
over Duke...Miami is ranked 15th in total
defense and 16th in pass defense...Soph TB Graig Cooper
has displayed his versatility this year...Cooper leads Miami in
rushing (62.9) and is 2nd in pass receiving (16 catches) and has
also thrown a 51-yard TD pass as well as returning two punts
for a 40.5 average, including a 66-yard scoring return..True
freshman WR Travis Benjamin accounted for 274 yards of
all-purpose yardage in the Hurricanes? loss to Florida State on
Oct. 4, the 2nd-highest total in the ACC this year....Benjamin
is 7th in the ACC in kickoff returns (24.6) and is second in
the ACC and 5th nationally in punt returns (12.3)...PK Matt
Bosher was named one of the Lou Groza Award ?Kicking
Stars of the Week? for his 3-FG effort against Wake Forest...He
has made 12 of 13 FG attempts and all 28 PATs...Bosher has

Virginia Tech
Over its last 5 games, Virginia Tech?s
defense has held its opponents to an average
of just 95.4 yards rushing, including

average...With both Tyrod Taylor and
Sean Glennon suffering ankle and leg
injuries against Florida State, QB Cory
Holt guided Tech to its fi nal TD drive against FSU...Holt had
been playing WR, after spending his fi rst four years as a QB
for the Hokies...Freshman TB Darren Evans ranks 6th in the

Victor Harris continues to add to his gridiron resume against
FSU, as the senior caught 2 passes for 14 yards in addition to

Duke
S Adrian Aye-Darko?s is currently in
a tie for 24th place nationally in pass

LB Michael Tauiliili continues to be the

forcing a fumble and making one
