The people in philly are celebrating today because they deserve too. They have not won a championship of any kind since 1983 (over 100 seasons of futility) If you were any kind of sports fan you would realize what it means to win a championship....let me guess. Lived in the Richmond and Mayfair sections for nine years. I haven't worked a day since Oct. 18, 1995 when I left and came here. No more city wage tax.

I was there when Dallas & Jimmy Johnson got pelted with snowballs with batteries in them and then the people blamed the stadium for not clearing the snow.

Cisco....be nice....i am a New Yorker but many years ago I would flip baseball cards and found the guys with the red 'P''s could get me 10 cards for one yankee card.. I could trade one mantle card and get 10 phillie cards..what a deal..but at the age of 6 it was a steal...now that mantle card is worth $1,000 and my 10 phillie cards $20...but I fell in love with the red P's guys because everyone was a yankee fan....if you had about 24 hours I could tell you all about the disappointments this franchise has had..Red Sox,Cubs fans share a lot of what we went through...its nice an old national league team can win the series...TB comes into the league and look how far they got..Rockies,Toronto,etc are newbies and they have won..
TB people have a right to celebrate..esp your baseball team..also where you live...you have the weather,beach,sun,low taxes,low gas,cost of living,etc
We cousins from the north have high taxes,snow and ice,high gas and heat,higher cost of living,etc..
but we don't have mosquitos the size quarters,no alligators,no killer bee's...and we don't have to cut our lawns all year round...we like to shovel our 2 feet of snow..it keeps us in shape...
gotta run to the deli...buy milk...damn..window is frosted over in car...

But our Phillies are the world champs for the 2nd time in 125 years.... please let us celebrate a little... 125 years...think about that...Ponce De Leon found Tampa 125 years ago...lol take care

Spent a 3 weeks in Philly back in 2000 and I vowed to never step foot anywhere near there or Jersey. The rudest, most idiotic, and dirtiest people I've seen in a long time.

There's a big difference in being a fan, and an idiot.
