Last year we had our own little mini version of last evening here in Massachusetts. First black Governor in history of the Commonwealth, inspiring incredible speeches, promises of change and hope. I was very enthusiastic about it, voted for Patrick, but sadly not much, if anything has changed. He spent over 10 grand redesigning his office, spent a incredible amount on a nanny to assist his wife, and the Lincoln customarily given to the Governor wasn't good enough, he upgraded to a Cadillac.
Patrick is a brilliant guy, educated very similarly to Obama, Patrick writes and delivers impressive speeches, hence Obama "borrowing" some of his material. But I have to admit, he hasn't accomplished much if anything to date.
Now I hear Obama will be summoning Patrick for a possible cabinet position.
As I said, I voted enthusiastically for Patrick, also voted Obama yesterday. I sincerely hope Obama delivers more of a change than Patrick has. Thus far I would give Patrick failing grades here in Massachusetts, I hope things are different this time around. It will be interesting.

Much like what Obama will inherit from Bush Cadilllac Duval inherited a mess from Romney. Also Duvall got further hurt by Bush and the lack of income coming into the State because of Bush's failed economic policies.
