How do you tell if your battery has gone bad or if its your alternator?

One morning my Pathfinder kinda hesitated to start, but then did....next time I went to start it no luck.

If I jump it, it starts up instantly w/ no effort. I drove it for about hour or so & it will continue to start throughout the day, but if left for say 12 or so hours..it needs to be jumped again...

not holding charge..

dead cell..replace battery..

advance auto or autozone will do a free check for you..

alternator is giving you just enough charge to start inbetween short starting periods..

battery drains overnight thus no moring start.

WAL-MART...:00hour

65 BUCKS OR SO..

or right there at the auto parts store w/free installation 95 bucks or so..
