Not sure why I'm even in this thread... :0corn
...but I actually don't mind him.
Sure, talks too much, but makes sense, has the odd semi-interesting story from playing days...
...good understanding/analyser of plays.
Far worse out there each week. kurby
Collinsworth seems to be one of those divisive figures like Dennis Miller. Miller was hated by those who think Football is Very Important and to be Taken Seriously and never joked about. Collinsworth is hated because he's intelligent and skinny. Football players are supposed to be large, loud and obvious.
I hope your kidding:mj07:
one thing i do like about him is that he speaks his mind especially when it comes to making calls both ways. Like last night when Garrard didn't get the first down when he slipped and fell and yet got the hands to the face penalty. then when it happened worse to Peyton and he didn't get the call Collinsworth wasn't afraid to say that the refs weren't making the call both ways.
i agree with this part of the quote..![]()
IMHO..
smooth crisp delivery that covers the why and therefores throughout the game.
There is no one better in the booths today that covers the x's and o's involved at every critical point in the games.
