I posted this, "I don't think Rick Warren has been anything but above reproach." Warren is not my minister, and anything I hear about him is from the news or his books. I've yet to hear anything about him being in bed with boys, smoking crack with hookers, etc. I'm sure he has his failings as do we all.

add: The only thing you have accurate here is the Bible does put a high degree of responsibility with teachers of the Word. If a teacher is preaching a false doctrine, it is very bad for him. Now, read on.

I was amused to read that the well-known atheist Christopher Hitchens agrees with Buddy's main conclusions--that Rick Warren is:

As for why the Gay-Marriage community is upset:

Prop-8 was a bloody nose that has really bummed-out the movement. The Rich Warren choice is just a reminders of that.

At least that is how I see it. Gay people assumed Obama would be some gay-rights messiah... just like I'm sure the anti-war movement thought he would be the anti-war messiah... and so on and on.

I think each group, who for someone reason, blindly thought Obama was going to "change everything" is going to suffer their moments of dissapointment.

This is the inevitable result of a year of hero-worship by some parts of the Democrat party.
