  • The Dark Knight - One of the best movies I've ever seen. It was done perfectly. :00hour :00hour
Can't wait for the third one, Johnny Depp to play the Ridler.
  • Step Brothers - Funny as hell.
  • The Bank Job - Pretty good movie
  • Body of Lies - Very good movie.

The Day the Earth Stood Still

sounded good until I noticed Keanu Reeves was in it

USA TODAY - Claudia Puig writes:

Keanu Reeves plays an alien with the catchy moniker of Klaatu who has traveled to Earth to warn of an impending global crisis. Taking this role seems to spell the impending end of his career. Why talented actors like Kathy Bates, Jon Hamm and Jennifer Connelly signed on is hard to fathom. Connelly plays a scientist who repeats "We can change" about a half dozen times in the course of begging Klaatu not to destroy the world. He doesn't buy it. While he's a "friend to the Earth," he's not too keen on the people inhabiting and polluting it.

Never fully engaging us, The Day the Earth Stood Still has more plot holes than a hunk of Swiss cheese. And the story is about as fresh as a stale cracker. :142smilie

do they even make entertainment anymore?.....or just politically correct,indoctrination-laced liberal ,pussy-whipped cautionary tales?....

johnny depp?..."keanu"(lol) reaves?....orlando bloom?...matt damon?...marky mark?(bwahahaha)...these are leading men?...is this why it`s known as the Film Actors Guild?.....

more like arogant, spoiled hollywood metrosexual brats...is it against some hollyweird by-law to be a star and actually shave nowadays?...

kirk dougles...paul newman...charles bronson...lee marvin...de niro...burt lancaster....james coburn.....heston...gene hackman....steve mcqueen...

those are leading men...not fricking nancy boys...

also saw the new james bond movie

was not impressed..

dialogue was not clear and presented in such a fast way that is was hard to tie into the last movie.
I am a very tuff critic..and dialogue is one of my pet peeves..
plot was a little weak..

and eye candy was not the finest..

worth the $10.00 for the wife and I but not worth any more than that..

better served as a at home rental or steal off the web.

previews for valkyrie were fantastic..

"the bunker"
i`ve read some solid reviews on the foreign film,"mongol".....

one of those epic movies..great scenery...unreal battle scenes with massed armies(love these epics with casts a thousands)....

and a very good soundtrack with everything from tuven throat singers to orchestras to heavy metal. .....it is a foreign film, and there are subtitles....

i don`t rent movies often, but i may snag this one...

Bolt is a great family movie. The kids loved it, and it's entertaining and engaging enough not to have the adults in pure misery.

I saw Mongol via Netflix, and I really enjoyed it.

I saw Hancock and did not complete the movie because it was so terrible.

I also so Get Smart via Netflix and it was enjoyable.

Just saw "The Ruins" on DVD. If you like disturbing horror flicks this won't disappoint. I don't scare easily but this had me almost in tears at the end. WTF?
