NO BRAINER PICK HERE FOLKS. I'M GOING TO MAKE A VERY SUBSTANTIAL WAGER ON THIS GAME.

GREEN BAY / CHICAGO OVER 40.0

HAVE THE TOTAL IN THIS GAME HANDICAPPED TO BE AROUND 51. DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE COLD WEATHER. COLD HAMPERS THE DEFENSE MUCH MORE SO THAN THE OFFENSE.

LET'S START THE WEEK OFF ON A GOOD NOTE.....:toast:

I may stay clear of the teams myself and follow suit.
I think PATRIOTS pounding of Arizona yesterday showed that the COLD does not necessarily slow down the OFFENCES.

Any opinion on a winner and looosah?? With the Pack being favored by 4 last time I checked??

It's actually the Bears who are favored by 4. I would play the Bears if I was playing a side, simply because they are at home and are playing for their playoff lives............Green Bay has nothing left to play for . Good Luck whichever way you decide.

Not saying I disagree w/ the OVER tonight....BUT

Where does the mantra of cold weather bothers D more than O come from?

Its not true. Snow/Ice helps O more than D, that I understand.

But just freezing cold weather in no way whatsoever affects D more offense. It would tend to help the D if anything.

5 DEGREES 10-20 MPH WINDS AT NIGHT. I AGREE W/ 30 SECONDS. THIS REMINDS ME OF THAT GAME ABOUT 4 YRS AGO WHEN CHICAGO HOSTED MICHAEL DOG-KILLERS AND THE FALCONS. THIS IS SEVERE CHICAGO WEATHER TONIGHT, I LIKE THE UNDER IN THIS SITUATION. PLAYERS WILL BE FROZEN TO THE BONE ON THE SIDELINES.

Having played and coached in all different types of climates, it is my experience and my opinion that defenses will breakdown much quicker than offenses when the temps drop below freezing. This isn't as applicable when both teams are cold weather teams, as is the case tonight, but will be a small factor just the same. Keep a close eye on the DB's and linebackers tonight. See how many bone jarring hits there will be coming from the DB's filling on the run.......not many, and especially after hafttime. You know why? Cause if fucking hurts.........Once this begins happening, the runs get longer, the passes get deeper and the score board lights up.

Mind you, these are simply my opinions based upon my own experiences. Will it come to fruition tonight....... We'll see. I like my chances though......:toast:

Teemo I hear your reasons, but there are a few factors to balance those out as well.

The colder that ball gets the harder it gets & harder it becomes to throw & catch.

I think the cold breaks down RBs/WRs just a much as LBs/DBs.

I honestly would say its a non factor.

I probably will be on the OVER too...just was pointing out that I dont think just COLD weather hurts the D more than the O.

Good Luck tonight!

ESPN just reported that the head grounds keeper stated that the field is the worst he has seen in 23 years. That would make me lean to the under.
