Here's my take on this game. Night game and coldest game of the year. Chicago's d , which is better at home got smoked by gbay in the first meeting. They should be ready tonight. Green bay has underachieved on d all year. This game should have a lot of running and both d's are due. Think this game falls in the low 30's.

ESPN just reported that the head grounds keeper stated that the field is the worst he has seen in 23 years. That would make me lean to the under.

Not to play devils advocate, but KC was below zero yesterday, and proved that cold temps alone do not inhibit scoring, in fact going over with 5 minutes to go in the second quarter! ( the total was bet down from 41.5 to 37.5)

Crappy footing, on the other hand, can prevent scoring , and is a serious factor.

I HERE YOU AND REALIZE THAT THIS DOESNT ASSURE AN UNDER. THESE D'S HAVE REALLY FALLEN OFF FROM LAST YR, BUT THERE'S ENOUGH TALENT ON BOTH D'S TO GET THIS SHIT TOGETHER FOR THIS RIVALRY. ALSO, 5 DEGREES AT NIGHT W/ 15 MPH WINDS WILL FEEL A LOT COLDER THAN DAY-TIME.

KC cant play D period. Doesnt matter if they are in Hawaii or the North Pole.

i gotta say...i`m on the east coast....and it`s supposedly not nearly as cold here as it is in chi-town...and it`s bru-tal....

as far as yesterday`s games go,maybe it`s me,but, there`s something different about "night" cold and "day" cold.....

It is my contention that a sloppy field sometimes helps scoring. It gives the offense a clear advantage and makes coverage especially difficult for DBs.

See NE yesterday.. Crisp cuts made pitch and catch easy for them while Zona DBs were falling all over the place trying to adjust.

Both teams are accustomed to this sort of weather and field conditions..

The total is low soley based on the weather.. so to me i see value in the over

i don`t know "whether" the "weather" will be a factor...but it`s 25 degrees where i am....and i tell you it`s bitter....and it`s 5.5 degrees in chicago....

i can`t even imagine how cold it is out there...

The only kind of weather that can help the under is very strong winds 30+ and fog. Anything else is meaningless and cause squares to lose there ass off.

gib,you may well be right about the over...some solid guys from other sites like the over....

and these aren`t exactly monster defenses....the cold might mean turnovers....

i`d honestly be afraid to play the under flat at 40...and even with the teaser i`m a tad worried...

Great avatar, i always crack up when i look at it. I have learned a long time ago , not to base plays strictly on the weather, its just one factor tonight, and I believe it will lead to a lot of runs and time consumption. Also, like that the chicago d has a lot to prove after their gbay humiliation and are at home. Gbay's d should also have motivation after being picked apart through much of the season. I expect a close defensive battle.
