i can't believe that 45% of vikings season ticket holders passed on the playoff tickets, leaving 20,000 tickets up for sale as of yesterday morning.

apparently sales on monday were reported as "brisk", as the fans in green are snatching up those tix!

i give the vikes a chance if TJ can learn to read a defense in one week ! :box2:

go birds!

i read that about the ticket sales??!! what the hell? i can't imagine them not going ape shit about this game. is that really true? if it is they oughta think about moving after all. see williams is gonna try and play. wonder how much and how effective he can be though with a busted shouler. big man can play when healthy. his back up is pretty undersized and got pushed around pretty bad last week. a.d. oughta be super hyped after his turnover problems the last few weeks.

bleeding purple

i grew up in minnesota as a kid and was a big fan in the tommy kraemer days to wade wilson, randall cunningham, vince mcmahon, rich gannon...

i had my heart broken enough

i know in my heart of hearts even if vikings had #1 offense and defense in the league they will find a way to lose in the playoffs

it's a given

it's built into the vikings dna, when the pressure cooker is at its highest, the vikings will fold

this team of brad childress will not make the adjustments to keep pace with the eagles

i bet tarvaris jackson will hear plenty of boos

Lets get this strait. He does have the name AD for "all day" but he widely regarded as AP around these parts. As to being a die hard and watching the team crumble from Tark, Kramer, to present, what can you do? This team has ripped me apart and left my guts out spewed all over the floor. IO will never ever stop rootinfg for this team.. I will LIVE, DIE, and EAT PURPLE! They may never win it but if they do I will be the happiest SOB alive and will party for days. Just wunder what life would be like after having a championship football team  I just want the fans behind team100% win lose or draw. NO BANDWAGON.

Purple:

Gonna be there Sunday, rooting for my VIKES. I, too, know the heartbreak this team has put me through. Still, I bleed Purple and will root for them until they box me up.

Can't bet this game. I see a close, hard hitting game. Clearly, the Vikes have a chance if the offensive line plays a great game(they have been very suspect all year). They must protect T-Jack so we can pass a little to open the running game up.

Here's to a Vikes victory!:toast:

Looks like Viking fans aren't all that excited either (because there's so much to do in Minnesota in January)

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- The NFL has given the Minnesota Vikings one last chance to sell out the Metrodome for Sunday's playoff game against Philadelphia.

The Vikings have until 4:30 p.m. EST on Saturday to sell the remaining 3,100 tickets to avoid a television blackout in local markets.

The task isn't as daunting as it appeared earlier in the week. The Vikings were granted their first extension on Thursday and still had a whopping 8,000 tickets to unload to avoid the first blackout since 1997.

But the team made big strides, selling nearly 5,000 tickets as of Friday afternoon. The remaining tickets are priced $80, $120 and $160 a piece. It's the first time the Vikings have been in the playoffs since the 2004 season.

Meanwhile, the Arizona Cardinals have sold enough tickets to Saturday's game against the Atlanta Falcons for it to be televised in the Phoenix area.

The NFL gave the team two 24-hour extensions, the last expiring Friday afternoon. About 2,400 tickets remained Friday morning.

Tickets returned from the visiting team allotment and club seats remain available for purchase. Neither counts against the blackout rules.
