I guess the SEC is a big joke as well.
Florida lost to this same Ole Miss team at home and South Carolina lost to a team from the Big Ten in a bowl game.

I hate when people compare conferences based on bowl results. These games are played 3-5 weeks after a team has played a game. You never know when a team is gonna give little to no effort in them(SEE GT because LSU was not that good).

I think the Big 12 was somewhat overrated this year but a joke is pushing it.

Arguing about which conference is best is not only unproveable but pointless. Why this possibly matters to anyone beyond me. But if it does what happens in bowl games is thw least conclusive evidence possible.

Good grief the Big 12 Nother went 3-0 in bowls - does that mean it was better than the South, or perhaps the North's 3-15 record v South (all 3 v AM or Baylor) might be a little more telling?

So has the Big 12 impressed you guys?

Nebraska did actually.

Kanas looked good against Minny.

The big guns have yet to play. Lets see how Texas & Okie do before you make any judgments.

If you want a disappointed joke conference look at the ACC.

I'll give you Neb - Big 10 only 1 win in the bowls to this point so Kansas over Minny doesn't do much for me, nor does the OT win by Mizzou over NW

And you're right, once UF steamrolls OU we will be able to judge

What about the Mountain West? This looks like men against boys!

Maybe this game solitifies a playoff system.
A sweet 16.The way they drag the whole thing out lets shoot for a sweet 24.

Odviosly things need retooling.A bowl system does not work.To many teams are left out, that giving a chance to get hot are left to win that 1 game only.

Leaving us woundering what might take place.
All the while leaving 2teams reaslistly that are not in fact the best.

This Utah game is crying outloud for a playoff system.

Not really. People put too much stock in bowl games. There are so many factors- motivation being the key one. Bama's season got shot v Florida and they are in a no win position in a game that is frankly meaningless to them.

The title game is the only bowl game that matters any longer. A few teams play at a high level because they think they have something to prove but those are few and far between.

agree with your points Sun - motivation is obvious main key in bowl games - just never did buy that Big 12 was some kind of super-conference this year
