A "Totals" QUESTION......

Why is it that it takes forever for sportsbooks to release totals plays on college hoops???? It's 2pm est and still there are many, many games without totals available to wager on......Just curious if anyone used to work in a sportsbook that would know because it's frustrating as hell when you have a ton of shit to do throughout the day and you're waiting and waiting for totals to be posted.....thanks.

This is a new thing this year. Everything was normal the first few weeks of the season, but about a month ago they started pulling this shit, esp. on Saturdays. There was about a week where the books weren't posting any totals at all on added games, but they started again. I'm not entirely certain why this is.

Thanks for the response.....it's annoying as all hell. I usually don't start playing totals until around this time and noticed this has been happening a lot. I never had a problem before. I hope this changes and they post them earlier....I know they don't give a shit, but most of us have other lives outside of waiting around all day for totals to be posted. Maybe they're losing on totals and figure most won't wait around all day....:shrug:

Yep new this yer--chickenshit stuff--they know what the posted totals will be when they put up the sides--still an area they have not done well in the past but did not care as many people did not bet college totlas--but more are now.

my feeling on this has always been that these rec. player houses wait on Penny to settle the totals into a comfortable # that doesn't allow them[rec houses] to get slammed w/middle players.

compounded that with the fact that the daily slate can be huge[NCAA Buckets and NBA Buckets] and therefore at least a little tuffer to release totals that will draw the 50/50 action the house relishes in ...

years and years ago we had a whole lotta fun:00hour :00hour w/middles and three computers..w/5 and 6 outs including Penny

ya know..$25,000.00 exposed w/the understanding ya never expose more than 10% of your bankroll..
