Are you at all conflicted w/ who to pull for in this game tonight?

Or is it a simple choice for you?

Dont tell me 'I dont give a ....'

Just curious if anyone else is feeling this way.

a convincing okie win..hell,an okie win period probably restores a little big 12 pride....

justified or not,the big 12 has been a target rich environment for public bashing throughout this bowl season....just check out a few sports boards....

and the big 12 factor(no defense)is probably why the florida line has taken off...

just an opinion...

"Big 12 Pride" thats just stupid shit SEC fans come up with. I dont know anybody that gives a rats ass about conference pride - people care about their teams, not the conference they play in.

Strength of conference arguments are stupid and irrelevant as well, but that in a gambling perspective is far different than who you cheer for beacuase of some alleged "conference pride."

If you buy that I assume you think if OU wins the Big 12 is vindicated and becasue Texas beat OU Texas should be number one? Of course not. That argument makes just as much sense - in other words none.

I dont think the BIG 12 has anything to answer for personally, but I agree there is a false public perception of the Big 12.

i really don`t have an opinion on conference strength...it`s mostly perception and is hard to quantify, particularly when discussing games between the "big" conferences...

just saying that some people take pride in their conferences...the conferences are basically based on geographic location and that`s not altogether dissimilar to why folks root for a "home" team....

of course there are non-geographic breakdowns such as the american and national league in baseball....and i have to admit to usually rooting for the american league basically because my team was in that league...

i mean,it`s no big deal...but that is how some folks are wired....

conference pride?

conference pride?

gotta say as a texas boy i do pull for all the teams from the state. hard to pull for okies but i do. esp. since UT beat em'. and okie's are basically texas n. as the majority of their kids come from the lone star state. really, really, like tebow though. what a super kid.

I'm a die hard nfl fan and hate the Giants, but when they won the super bowl last year I felt proud that my Eagles came form the NFC east. That being said if the cowboys were in the superbowl, i would have hoped they shit their pants and lost by 40. Hope this helped

Sure, the public thinks the Big XII is good, but the bowls proved that they aren't:shrug:
