An Ohio woman is in critical condition after her husband shot her while they were having sex.
Timothy Havens, 38, told Springfield police that he was reaching for something on the nightstand when he accidentally grabbed a pistol and it went off.
The gunshot hit his wife Carolyn in the upper chest. She had to be rushed to hospital and the 42-year-old remains in critical condition.
But it may have been no accident. Court documents show that the man has previously served 60 days in jail for assaulting his wife and was ordered to go to anger management classes.
Timothy has been arrested and bond is set at $75,000 after prosecutors cited "the suspicious nature of the circumstances surrounding his wife's injury."
