of this weekend's games. Would like to hear which way the public will move these numbers.

We have Philly -3 or -3.5 @ Arizona - Boldin should be back and Arizona's defense has to be very confident after forcing 6 turnovers in Charlotte where the Panthers had been undefeated at home. Arizona has been a solid Underdog and typically it's smart to play against any team playing their 3rd consecutive road game.

Pittsburgh -5 vs. Baltimore - Interesting number as Pittsburgh was -5 vs. Baltimore early in the season. Pittsburgh was able to sweep Baltimore winning a pair of nail biters vs. the Ravens. It's tough to beat any team 3 times in one season. Biggest thing playing against Baltimore is whether or not Pittsburgh can continually hold like they did today. I'm not complaining as I backed Pitt, but they were getting away with murder IMHO.

Leaning towards both Dogs right now, but will be interested in other's thoughts. I'm now 7-1 on sides in the playoffs with my lone loss coming on Indy, a game they should have won.

Baltimore +5 I would think would be enticing considered both games came down to the end, and the total point margin was 7 combined for both games. Divisional game, and the thought of it's tough to beat a team 3 times in a season.

Have to imagine Philly -3 or 3.5 will get most of the love, been there before thinking, and crushed Arizona earlier in the year on Thanksgiving day.

Regarding your comment on holding, sure it was a excessive, but Harrison gets held on almost every play too. You either call it for all or let them play.

My quote should have said Arizona is a good home Underdog in the 1st post.

I see the line is creeping up slowly on Pitt & Philadelphia as most of the country is expecting a Pennsylvania Super Bowl. Baltimore vs. Arizona would be a ratings nightmare and really crush ticket brokers.

Philly vs. Pittsburgh would be huge as both teams have excellent fans.

Some good points...I don't think any of 'us' could see the line dropping to 2 & 1/2 for 2 main reasons. (1) Philly is to good of a ball club with plenty of play-off experience and (2) the man is not going to set himself up for a middle. But don't believe it would go much if any higher than 3 & 1/2. The birds are on a roll with a good defense themselves with a veteran QB and believe that number 11 can equalize any advantage Philly has in the rushing department. Should be a great game...hopefully one that will end up within a fieldgoal...

Put a gun to my head and I'm on Baltimore...otherwise I'll just be watching.

"the bunker"
the ravens injury list is daunting...they`ve already played most of the season without chris mcallister, laron landry, our best deep threat demetrius williams and our main run stuffer kelly gregg...

now,we have derrick mason basically playing with one arm and we lost rolle with a groin(his replacement frank walker would be second stringer in san diego`s secondary..yes,he`s that bad),jared gaither, terrel suggs and jim leonard(fantastic player)......not to mention laron mcclain with an ankle and our other corner fabian washington being banged up.........

we have big problems on sunday.....big problems...

Continually hold? Harrison, Farrior and Woodley get held every play. Harrison gets tackled to the ground and still somehow gets to the QB!!

I have no problem with the we. I've bought enough ND, Bears and White Sox stuff that I can use the collective term. So can wease. I just never knew he was a Ravens fan.

. . . Hope no one got hurt when he jumped on the bandwagon right before the Championship game :grins:

Without paying attention to percentages on certains sites, I have been keeping my ears on others convesations at local bars and restaurants as well as at work and the local playoff picks site here and the two overwhelming plays that everybody is on is Arizona and Pittsburgh.

This seems to be contrary to what was thought the public perception would be and is very surprising to me. Keep in mind that most of the people that I have asked at the bars and work do actually place wagers themselves. It seems that most think that Arizona has become the popular "team of destiny" and that Pitt's performance against San Diego was so impressive that they just can't see them not winning big, let alone, at least winning. Disclaimer- for informational purposes only.

May be playing Philly and Balt?

Good luck to all.

i was about to ask if you were serious, but my brain stopped at that absurdity....

it bothers you that much that a fan refers offhandedly to their home team as "we"?....we have guys in here devoting entire threads to team minutiae(vinnie...lol)...

last time i looked the team is called the "baltimore" ravens...and i`m sorry if it offends you that i consider it "my" home team...i never intended to intimate that i was affiliated in any way other than being a home town boy who enjoys the success of his local football team.......

sheesh....
