Overtime going to fuck me in the Utah/BYU game...BYU up 4 with over 1minute and the ball, so they start jacking 3's and missing FTs. Terrible execution and coaching. How do you shoot a 3pointer for 3 straight posessions when you're up, and then when you're tied?? Baffles me..

Why foul down 8 with 2 minutes left? Because the team will use at least 30 seconds to take a shot. Then assuming you get the board, its going to be at least 10 more seconds before you get a good look at a basket. Its strategy, and I think its a good one. Especially vrs a young Ole Miss team with inexperienced players. Force them to step up to the line under pressure and beat you there.

ask anyone who remembers how valvano won his title in the 80's about fouling late in the game. if the guy misses fts you get the ball... pretty simple.
