Chris Bosh won't play on Friday and doesn't sound likely for Saturday with a sprained right knee.

In addition, the Sun suggests he could be out until after next weekend's All-Star break. "Obviously, I?d like to make sure he?s healthy through the remainder of the season," coach Jay Triano said. "I?m going to wait and see how he responds to treatments on a daily basis." Bosh said the injury is simply a result of wear-and-tear,

PACERS FORWARD DANNY GRANGER
(On the health of his knee) ?I felt like it just started hurting me and bothering me, I just really couldn?t do anything, it?s too much when it hurts.?

(On playing tomorrow night) ?I don?t know yet, I?m not able to see right now. It?s hard to tell when I?m limping on it so much, and tonight it?s just so sore and we?ll have to see tomorrow because last time we had a double header I wasn?t able to go. We will have to see tomorrow.?

(On if it hurts tomorrow would he consider taking days off) ?Maybe, but I just don?t like that idea. We know that we need these games, if we keep losing I know that I can?t be taking games off.?

(On his free-throw streak coming to an end) ?Oh did it? I didn?t even know I had one going. I don?t know; I just missed it I guess."

C.J. Miles missed Thursday's game with bronchitis, but did join the team for this weekend's trip to play Sacramento and Golden State. Kyle Korver started in Miles' absence, his first start in 96 games since coming to the Jazz.

No Joe against Bobcats

Joe Johnson won?t join the Hawks for tonight?s game against the Bobcats at Time Warner Cable Arena.

Still out with a viral infection, there were rumblings that Johnson might miraculously rise out of the bed and burn up the pavement on Interstate 85 and hit the floor with his teammates tonight.

But he wasn?t at this morning?s shootaround practice and won?t be seen again until the Hawks convene at Philips Arena tomorrow afternoon for Saturday night?s game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Whether or not he plays against the Clippers remains up in the air. Without the aid of any practice this week, Hawks coach Mike Woodson said he?d have to see how Johnson feels before even entertaining the idea of allowing him to suit up, let alone take the floor.

?All I want is for Joe to get better,? Woodson said. ?With this stretch we?ve got coming up before and after the All-Star break, we need him rested and healthy more than anything else.?

If Johnson doesn?t play again until All-Star Weekend, it won?t be too soon for the NBA?s leader in minutes.

He could have used the breather last month, when he was dragging around his tired body and couldn?t seem to get in a groove on either end of the floor.

Any time he can steal now is a bonus, especially with that 10-day Western Conference road trip awaiting after All-Star Weekend.

Chauncey Billups and Kenyon Martin are back in the Denver Nuggets? starting lineup.

Nuggets coach George Karl says both players will return to face the Washington Wizards on Friday night.

Martin missed the Northwest Division leaders? previous two games with strep throat, while Billups sat out Wednesday?s victory at Oklahoma City with a sprained right ankle.

Billups is second on the team in scoring behind Carmelo Anthony, averaging 18.3 points, and leads the Nuggets with 6.4 assists. Martin averages 13 points and 6.4 rebounds.
