Anyone else watching this show on Animal Planet? it is fantastic. I'm biased growing up near and working at a track (para-mutual and on the AV team), but this show is a really well made show. And pretty recent.

I grew up around the track as well. Did some work for S Schulhoffer back in the 80's and met a lot of good jocks (The Mig, Cordero, Bailey and others). The good old days. Haven't seen the show yet but will definatly watch it soon. I'm sure it will bring back many memories.

Jon Court, Calvin Borel, Cowboy Jones.

Those are the three jocks that I used to eat lunch with quite a bit at Ellis. And when I say eat lunch with them; it was them sitting and me eating.

Cowboy was a little out there, but Jon and Calvin were good dudes.

I like it too. I grew up a 9 iron from monmouth park. Tonight the showed Julie Krone. When i was in my teens I had dinner with her several times with some friends of the family. She was leading rider at monmouth and lived year round locally. She was one tough chick. She punched another locally famous jock who I play wcard with to this day in the jaw and knocked him off his horse. He chased her around the jockey room whit his whip until his valet crried him off.
