Very cut/paste to enforce their point, but it's funny.

I generally listen to little they say but do pick up some of their "propaganda inadvertantly in financial searches.

couple of my favs from yesterday and today on why bounce in market occured-while every financial was on China stimulus--here is what the Shepherd reported to the flock :)

"
Cramer?s been criticizing Obama lately ? to put it lightly ? for his spending plans. The changes to health care, the punitive rates on coal-fire utilities, taxes on the ?wealthy,? those people making over $250,000 who also happen to be the U.S.?s biggest employers ? the bears used this bad news hammer down the market. But Obama?s buy call yesterday might indicate he?s slowing his aggressive plans to give stocks some room to breathe.
Wall Street sure loved it. The Dow jumped 150 points on Wednesday. Traders seem to think Obama is much more sensitive to stocks than he previously had been.

--and then this morning--

"On Wednesday, stocks rebounded off of 12-year lows as investors welcomed details of the Obama administration's mortgage-rescue plan to stem the growing number of foreclosures."

Jon Stewart makes a living off the DOLTS that watch his show, I hope they enjoy paying higher TAXES and prices in general that come with the Obama agenda.

John Stewart is essentially a comedian/humorist/satirist - not an authoritative figure on politics and economics. To suggest otherwise, or worse yet to actually believe it is off the mark IMO, FWIW, LMAO.

The show is funny, he is clever and funny, and very little more should be made of it. Should I hold Stephen Colbert to the same standard? He's funnier than heck - why can't people just enjoy the insightful, witty comedy writers and performers and leave it at that?

Unless of course, you just "don't get it." And that is quite possible, in some cases, around here...

But those people probably were ticked about Craig Kilborn sitting in that seat joking about politics instead of SportsCenter for many of the same reasons...let alone a late night comedy talk show...

He sucks at interviewing people. He should have stuck to political comments. - after -

He should have stuck to reading the scores and joking about T.O. instead of talking politics...

Well said Chadman. I try and never miss Jon Stewart and the Colbert report. I love comical satire, but I admit it might not go well with the pick'em up truck crowd brandishing 3 gun racks. Not to mention the #3 decal on everyside of ride.

Enough of this "dolt'ishness". I haven't been called a dolt since the 13th century, as an English squire, the last time dolt was ever said.

Health care is a very complicated issue. Lobbyists have a corner on the market for the greedy. Wow, they are really good at it! Some states are correcting some problems on there own, and I commend them for there efforts.

And for you "dolts" who think free insurance for the "lazy" is the crux of the matter? You might want to think again. You are already paying for them, and for a very long time ago. Coruscation is need now!

Thanks for that one, Dawg...priceless..

"You're just the guy in charge of regulating it."

My GAWD, you can't make it up...sorry if I'm piling on the right with that one. Seems to be an Alaskan thing, from my rememberances of the Vice-Presidential debates...:mj07:

My Gawd - I just watched the original link in this thread. That was amazing JOURNALISM, let alone commentary. I'm almost embarrassed about my Cramer thread now, but that's a little different. I see Skully ripping me personally for liking the show and Stewart, and I would simply ask:

"What is innacurate about any single thing in that video?" That is so well done, and so revealing...man, if you haven't watched it, please do. Obviously, there are worse things to watch on cable than the Daily Show - like any of the self-serving money shows...lol.

I wasn't ripping you, I think you probably don't watch the Daily show for real news, I have my doubts for the majority of his viewers. I don't really like CNBC.

I saw last night when he showed Obama talking about pulling out of Iraq and then he showed Bush talking about doing the same thing in 2004 or 5. I laughed

I'm definitely one of the dolts that watch his show. I don't mind paying taxes, even if it's a bit more because I am making more money for whatever reason, and understand that the whole scenario could result in passed on higher prices on some things because of it.

How again are you not ripping me?

And now that I read your response again, who watches The Daily Show for their real news? Do you think ONE person in the world watches that show for their real news outlet? Does that fantasy help you sleep at night, or what?

Do you, or anyone else, watch The Colbert Report for their actual news? Good Lord, sometimes I am just amazed by the crap I see. You try your "DRIVE BY COMMENTS" at every turn - and most just let them go. I think sometimes it's important to call, um, a spade, a spade.

Next subject? :SIB

I watch CNBC a lot. They are definitely pro-market. But the clips in the Daily Show video were carefully selected sound bites to pour gas on the fire.

Beyond me liking CNBC as a network, the Daily Show clip was pretty hilarious. If you can't laugh at yourself, then everyone else will.
