OK, I'm a fan of Tn Martin ever since they got Lester Hudson (jr college transfer). I saw him play a couple times last year and a few times this year. Hope they show the OVC Championship game on TV tomorrow. Might get to see him again. Since this game didn't come up as a show play, I've had to do more work than I like. Here's what I think about it.

For openers, this line at -4 is consistant with all the lines on these two teams. What this means is that Vegas hasn't fudged either way on this game. Can we use this against them? I hope so. Both teams have consistantly been under-rated in conference play. Tn Martin as a fav and Morehead as a dog. What I mean by this is that Morehead was the dog in 6 of their last 10 while Martin was the fav in 8 of their last 10. There's a big difference in covering the pointspread as a fav and having points left over and covering the pointspread and still losing the game. Morehead is 2-6 in their last 8 away from home (conference play) while Martin is 7-1 last 8 (con road games). The game is in Nashville so there's no homecourt adv. Martin was winning by an ave of 12 to 15 while Morehead was losing by 3 to 5. Since Dec 6 loss to SEMO Martin is 18-3. I like the fact that 2 of those 3 losses came in their last 5 games. It appears to have re-focused the team because they have won their last 3 games by an ave of 16 points. If you get a chance to see Hudson play, don't miss it.
