You brought your laptop to Disneyworld?

Not there yet, but was going to bring a laptop and an I-touch. Is that wrong?

Laptop to research and plan at night while in the hotel, and who knows when I might need access in the park for stuff?

lol- No it's not 'wrong', but it seems like a pain in the ass to carry around a fullsize laptop inside the park. That's what I thought you were doing. I don't know what an I-Touch is, but I assume it's one of those mini gadgets?

just like an I-phone, but it can only connect to the internet with a wifi or direct connection.

Disney... huh!

Can you give me the rundown... I had friends down there 3 weeks ago, and the stated they never waited for a ride, and breezed through every attraction, multiple times. (Sounds like a dream at Disney. As 2 years ago I was there and waited 1-2 hours at some places, as I did not do the speed pass or whatever it is calle!)

I am going next week for 10 days, staying on Disney and would like to know how it is doing now closer to more spring breaks???

How's the weather, for them it was chilly all week.

Gracias, and enjoy!

Do you like your I-touch, 65? thinking of getting one but would like to hear about its good/bad points before buying one. Thanks!

it's very cool, I think. My wife is messing around on hers all the time. the application games are pretty great. We have wifi here at the house, and it automatically connects.

Six5,

Are you staying in a Disney Hotel? We are taking the kiddos down late May and I've been debating between private home w/ pool or condo. Just curious as to what prices you were able to find. Been on VRBO for past 3 weeks and looks like there are tons of properties to rent w/ very little bookings. Also what parks you visiting? Have a great time.

sixfive...I will be glad to loan you my T-mobile Hotspot account for wireless if you need it for the week. I use it rarely and my company pays for it. Unfortunately, you need to research t-mobile to find their hotspots. Let me know. :toast:

ben, we are 7 nights, 7 days, park hopper passes, and the second best meal plan for 2 adults and 2 children, and it is a tad bit over 3 grand. I've only been once and it was long, long ago, but all my cohorts tell me that staying at the park is the only way to go. We are staying in one the on property 'budget' hotels. Disney is running deals through July I beileve where you pay for 4 days 4 nights and get 3 free. That's what we're doing. Our deal also comes with a 250 buck visa card that they give us. We're planning on going to all the properties the first 4 days and then, whatever we like the best we're going to hit up again the 5th and 6th days.

Thanks for the response Clint. We had a 7 night stay planned at the All Star Movies budget hotel for May but we cancelled due to the economy. Finally decided to do it on the cheap. Can get a private home w/ pool or condo at resort for around $700 a week. We've decided to do Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom. Rest of week will be trip to beach and Seaworld.

Found this Wifi info out for Disney. Hope it helps.

Seems like there aren't many "free" wifi spots at Disney.

I can't believe you don't know what an i-touch is, you obviously live under a rock somewhere

that meal plan I talked about means that we aren't paying anything out of pocket for food while there unless we might want some extra soft drinks or something. I've heard that saves u a ton of money.

Cool. I am looking to do the WiFi thing here at the house and would like to have something like the I-touch to be able to access e-mail, internet, etc etc.

it will definitely do all that as long as you have the wifi connection. It's just like the phone except you can't use it like a phone, and it doesn't have an independent ability to access the internet like the iphone does.
