On the course!
You know.......most of my "music listening" life, oldies have been 60's tunes. Gradually, 70's tunes made it in there, and that was that.

Lately, early 80's tunes are finding their way into the mix. So, here's my question:

When will 60's tunes fall away from "oldies" formats, and go to another realm? Let's face it, you don't hear 30's and 40's and 50's tunes on "oldies" stations, and I'm guessing at some point, you did!

Will that ever happen, or will those 60's songs always be there because that's when modern rock came into being?

I remember listening to some comic (don't remember his name) talking about how saddened he was, he said, "Today I was listening to an Oldies station and they played a Rap Song." :142smilie

That's a good question YYZ, but I think the Beatles, stones (especially the beatles) and others will "always" be played. I've left other great bands/artists out obviously, but i just don't think there will ever be a time when the beatles (and like them or not, they just happen to be my fav. group, although, i love Clapton and many , many other groups from that era--personally, and I may be wrong, but I think their music and Whole body of work will live on forever or atleast until I'm dead and gone.

Just my opinion, Take Care....and come on football (can't wait)
