--believe he may have us there in just 1st 60 days-- and not even got to the good stuff yet:nooo:

By ANDREW TAYLOR, Associated Press Writer Andrew Taylor, Associated Press Writer ? <ABBR class=recenttimedate title=2009-03-20T15:27:44-0700>13 mins ago

WASHINGTON ? President Barack Obama's budget would produce $9.3 trillion in deficits over the next decade, more than four times the deficits of Republican George W. Bush's presidency, congressional auditors said Friday.
The new Congressional Budget Office figures offered a far more dire outlook for Obama's budget than the new administration predicted just last month ? a deficit $2.3 trillion worse. It's a prospect even the president's own budget director called unsustainable.
In his White House run, Obama assailed the economic policies of his predecessor, but the eye-popping deficit numbers threaten to swamp his ambitious agenda of overhauling health care, exploring new energy sources and enacting scores of domestic programs.
The dismal deficit figures, if they prove to be accurate, inevitably raise the prospect that Obama and his Democratic allies controlling Congress would have to consider raising taxes after the recession ends or else pare back his agenda.
By CBO's calculation, Obama's budget would generate deficits averaging almost $1 trillion a year of red ink over 2010-2019.
Worst of all, CBO says the deficit under Obama's policies would never go below 4 percent of the size of the economy, figures that economists agree are unsustainable. By the end of the decade, the deficit would exceed 5 percent of gross domestic product, a dangerously high level.

Quite interesting that those who used the "druken sailor" term for defense spending--find someone quadrupling the deficit in 60 days humerous?

Either your unable to comprehend the consequences--don't care--or anticipate being on receiving end of socialistic programs.
I'd be curous to know which it is--would you enlighten us?

DTB, that's why they are able to do it. Drones and idiots incapable of trusting themselves will trust some BS talker more in order to have to avoid hard decisions.

Not only do we have to fight the gov. but also the "hip and cool" ignorants.

Oh, I'm sorry for being so "unreasonable", but I've seen this scenario several times over in different places. We'll see if we Americans are really so special as to avoid this political virus. We did it with Carter, but people have been so much more brainwashed since. :sadwave:

Scott is correct

Scott is correct

its called stimulus

deficit will be reduced in 4 years .

Obama as I stated has been into a position where he has almost no chance of winning.

The stimulus is a must- but very risky. If no stimulus basically Americans will need to trust the big Corps and stock exchanges. And truthfully only an idiot would ever put another penny into stocks after all the fraud going on.

Why is there so much hate in the US? If a stranger came to this site he would swear Americans hate each other and dont give a sht about their country. Honestly.

Best of luck:toast:

Yep He's even got them believing welfare-foods stamps-increased unemployment benefits-socialized health-and taxing carbon-giving dead beats free ride on mortages(got a couple trillion bucks there) are going to stimulate the economy.:)

Would suspect he thinks green tech will produce more jobs than those laid off in coal/fossil fuel jobs.

--and speaking of coal--would not have believed he carried some coal producing states--with exception of they been carrying Michigan for years with their pro union promises and they keep voting on the hope/change rhetoric.

While I feel sorry for these folks--they need to live with the consequences of their convictions--unfortunately it will be the remaing taxpayors footing the bill.

A Jobs Report That Defies Description

Peter Wehner 07.08.2011 - 4:32 PM

The political class has already exhausted the adjectives describing today?s bleak/horrible/awful/God-awful/dismal/terrible/absolutely flat out terrible jobs report. The new data showed, among other things, the unemployment rate increasing to 9.2 percent from 9.1 percent even as the labor force got smaller (by more than a quarter-of-a-million people). That is an amazing and alarming phenomenon, since it demonstrates that unemployment has gone up even as the pool of workers shrinks.

:nooo:

Are u aware that most of this deficit is because of these tax breaks during a horrible war ur boys started? These tax breaks are the focal point of any Republican plan and creating this huge hole. These tax breaks that create nothing but make rich people richer. Ur boys can say all they want on how the stimulus didn't work but the reason it is having trouble was because of the wonderful part in the stimulus that ur boys contributed. Again these tax breaks that are creating nothing is what is killing the stimulus and as Trench said it was only a care package. How was unemployment suppose to go down when Obama tried to play partisan politics? If u want to blame Obama for something blame him for using anything the Republicans think of. Then u have a gripe.

It seems to me that business was doing pretty good during the Clinton years. After the tax breaks things went to Hell.

Hmm Looks like someones call was right on --and the hope/change crew is groveling for that tit.

Gumby's admin has declared recession officially over 2 years ago.

Yet we have record unemployment--record food and ga prices--house value declined 25%-record foreclosers--record bank failures--record and unsurmountble debt --etc

Now if you own nothing--pay no taxes-are on welfare/food stamps--you got the hope and change you were looking for--as noted by those here obviously on the receiving end of the redistribution of wealth.

Are You Better Off? - William McGurn, Wall Street Journal

The problem, says the Obama administration, isn't its own performance but the public's unrealistic expectations. In other words, George W. Bush was even worse than we thought.
Maybe that's a winning message. Maybe Americans who believed Mr. Obama when he said unemployment wouldn't go past 8% if we passed his stimulus will now be persuaded by his explanation that his job was tougher than he or his economists expected. Maybe that's the only way to get around the "Are you better off?" question.

The Economy's Unknown Unknowns - Thomas Sowell, IBD
thomas_sowell.jpg

Blithely piling onto American businesses both known costs like more taxes and unknowable costs -- such as the massive ObamaCare mandates that are still evolving -- provides more incentives for investors to send their money elsewhere to escape the hassles.
Hardly a month goes by without this administration coming up with a new anti-business policy -- whether directed against Boeing, banks or other private enterprises. Neither investors nor employers can know when the next one is coming or what it will be. These are unknown unknowns.
Such anti-business policies would just be business' problem, except that it is businesses that create jobs.

2012: The End of the World As We Know It

<!-- INTEXT_ON -->Like a replicating amoeba, America is pulling apart into two separate cultures. One is strongly committed to the birth of an even more robust, pro-growth, entrepreneurial capitalism. The other thinks Che Guevara and Karl Marx had important social insights relevant to America today, and wants to follow the path of Juan Peron's Argentina, if not Hugo Chavez's Venezuela. This is the stark choice facing the American people in 2012-----
