Your welcome. Going to subscribe today. Any opinions on their projections? I have a hard time seeing Oakland winning more then 81 games if even that. I like Holliday but he is just one man.

like the yankees under 97.5 wins, the div with red sox and rays, is way to tough and they are over rated...like the marlins over 76.5, great hitting and good pitching plus the nl is weak..nats under 71.5 THEY STINK..gl:D

Agree about the Yankees. Missing ARod for awhile. Jeter, Posada, Damon and Matsui getting older. Cabrera and Cano are nothing special. Nady had a fluke season. He isn't that good. Burnett can't really be counted on. Petitte near the end. Bullpen not that great. Defense sucks for the most part. I would like to say i am impartial but I do HATE the Yankees. 100 wins my ass.
Not sure about the fish. Johnson if healthy is a quality pitcher. Nolasco too. Hanley is a MVP contender. Maybin might be great one day but not yet. Uggla is solid. Not sold on Cantu. I can't wait for opening day! Did I mention I HATE THE YANKEES? :thefinger

astros under 74.5..poor hit and pitch..don't believe they win 70..:toast:

I live in Houston area, I completely agree, they may win 70 if they are lucky, Depends on Roy Oswalt, he id not look so good last year and in the WBC

WHERE DO YOU GET THEY HAVE POOR HITTING???

2-6 part of the lineup is
Pudge ,Berkman, Lee, Tejada, Pence.

PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IS DIFFERENT FROM THIS TEAM THAN LAST YEARS TEAM THAT WON 86 GAMES WITH LEE MISSING THE LAST 2 MONTHS??
They lost Wigginton and Ausmus out of lineup and replaced with Pudge and Blum. This is more of an upgrade than a downgrade. They lost Randy Wolf for Mike Hampton which is not a dropoff if(BIG IF) Hampton stays healthy. Also they didn't get Wolf until trade deadline so he only pitched 2 months. Rest of the team is the same.

It is not like Cincy,Pitt, or Stl did anything to get better this off season as well and Brewers losing CC and Sheets hurts them big.

You are foolish if you are basing this on spring training and not what these guys have done in their career.
Pitching is suspect at best past Oswalt, but all are having good spring at least so maybe it carries over.

Don't tell Cecil Cooper they are not winning 70:

Don't tell Berkman either:

"At least 90 games," first baseman Lance Berkman said. "We know what kind of team we have. I mean, why shouldn't we [win 90]? We won 86 last year, and we have a better team. This is the Houston Astros. We play better than we look on paper."

Another side note on the Astros:
They have only finished below this number(74.5) twice since 1992.
In 2000, 72 wins and in 2007 with 73 wins. That is 13-2 over this number and were 66-49 during strike season.
Nothing to do with this team but just show owner wants and likes to win.

Going with 3 plays in this DIVISION:

ASTROS(OVER 73.5 WINS) 150 wins 150.
CUBS(OVER 91.5 WINS) 165 wins 150.
REDS(UNDER 79.5 WINS) 150 wins 150.

Also ASTROS win NL CENTRAL(20-1) for 30. That is insane that they are 20-1 and the Reds are 8-1.
They wont win with the Cubs in it but 20-1 can't pass.
