Charleston (+4.5) vs Richmond: Statistically looking at these teams I thought this line should basically be a pick'em, but the public seems to be all over Richmond, moving the line from 4 to 4.5 In Charleston, you have one of the best road teams in the country. Charleston is 12-4 on the road, losing to Chattanoga in the conference tourney finals, a team they had already beaten once, Western Carolina, Citadel, and North Carolina. . four decent road losses. Charleston is also a solid 11-6 ATS on the road. Charleston also has five solid starters, as all five average at least 9 points per game, that means a strong balanced attack. Amazingly, Charleston has played better on the road than they have at home averaging 79 ppg on the road compared to 77 ppg overall, shooting 48% from the field compared to 47% overall, 39% from 3-pt range compared with 38% overall. Their defense has struggled on the road, but have been much much better as of late giving up 65 ppg, under 40% shooting from the field, and only 26% from 3-pt range, all of those gams coming on the road as well. Charleston should dominate the rebounding category tonight, always an important factor when playing on the road. I think this team is playing very inspired ball after just missing the dance. I think this should be a very close game throughout with Charleston having a great chance to pull the upset. Take the points.
